I used to love Toast Box whenever I am at the shoppping centre. And here at the ordinary place, I found some stall serving similar food with toast box but they have lesser varieties here.

I only order a piece of peanut thick toast, and it ends up being as thin as a piece of Gardenia bread, instead of being thick. The spread of peanut is very light and even, but the aroma of peanut is not too strong here. The bread is toasted so lightly that there is not much heat from the bread. It is a really simple breakfast for me, and I think I will order kaya bread next time so that it wouldn't be this dry.

Fruity Sago Lolo Truck Stall serves all kinds of soothing desserts and most of them are icy cold. I always love this comfort soup, and I am glad to find Bubur Cha Cha here.

Comprising mainly of coconut milk and sweet potatoes, it is very thick with brown sugar flavours. However, it is regrettably sounded very good but is way too sweet to suit my liking. I will have to dilute it with ice before drinking this dessert. But I will be back for other sago ice desserts.

This food court caters a variety of Chinese hawker food, and my friend and I spotted this self-claimed authentic Ipoh hor fun. It sounds quite common but making a good plate of chicken floss hor fun in Ipoh style is not simple.

We order a plate of dry hor fun and shared. The portion is very generous here, with a lot of bean sprouts. I believe the plump bean sprouts is from Ipoh. The smooth hor fun just goes down very easily although the sauce is too watery.

Overall, it is not bad. Worth a try.

Sushi Q @ Mid Valley OK Jun 13, 2012

I'm a loyal customer of Sakae Sushi until recently I think it's time for me to try out other sushi franchises to check out their quality. I stumble upon Sushi Q, and find their sushi platter affordably priced.

I choose my favourite sushi set, and it is RM12. If you are a wasabi lover, you can get extra wasabi from the counter and is Free! The sushi has lots of variety, comes in large portion but with moderately good taste. The sushi rice is not so fragrant, but the ingredients are very fresh. Worth a try!

Dessert @ Whisk OK Jun 13, 2012

Whisk is a coffee shop and a bakery shop. Not only that it serves freshly-brew coffee and espresso, it also sells my favourite dessert that is macaron. Normally I pay more attention on shops which have macaron, so I shall not miss this.

The shape and size of the macarons here are quite uneven. Despite of the inconsistency, I tried one chocolate macaron, and I feel that the crust is not as good and the filing is lacking of the chocolate flavour. Quite disappointed, I think I will just stick to their signature coffee during my next visit.
