Join the MakanVenture that day. It was a great dining experience as I get to learn more about Nyonya foods. Previously I only know Nyonya is very good in making kuih but today I even get to taste their staple foods.

Restaurant's owner introduce us "buah keluak" and you can find some of their dishes in the menu are cook with it. Not only that, she explain to us the process to clean the buah till it can be use to make it into a dish.

Impressed me was the ladies fingers with buah keluak. On top (buah keluak) of the ladies finger is black in color. Firstly, the combination of the colors really sharp, green and black. tongue The texture of the buah keluak just like avocado. The chef make it taste abit salty, totally mix so well with the ladies fingers which are tasteless. chopstick

Bread stick, RM 6

Honestly, this is the first time I eat bread stick that is soft. It is very crunchy and fresh. I can’t stop eating it until I finish a pack in a time. There are herbs. Although it look like over baked, but it don’t have bitter taste at all. It is quite expensive for a snack, this make me I can’t have it often. mad

Dinner Smile May 28, 2013

No idea where to celebrate Mother's Day, Google and find some idea where to eat out. List down few restaurants that interest me and was stopped when I read the review for this restaurant.

Luckily my family and I reached about 5/6pm that evening. If not we have to long Q to be seated. The restaurant is not very big which the walkway is quite narrow.

We shouldn't choose big day to dine here. So sad that their staff told me that they only served special menu on Mother's Day sad some foods that reviews good was not in the Mother's Day package.

For appetizer, we ordered their bitter gourd slices super fine and dip in honey. I feel so refreshing. It can cold our body.

The main course is their signature mee hun. The mee hun is so fine. they fried it with some veges, on top of that are peanuts and crunchy seaweed that mix so well to it.

The foods serves there are not salty, not oily and suitable for anyone that health conscious.

Overall we are satisfied with our meal. I will pay another visit soon to try other foods! smile

This restaurant serves variety of cuisines like western, and mostly hong kong style. It was introduced by a friend of mine who lives somewhere nearby.

I like to dine at here because there are plenty of foods inside the menu that i loves to eat tongue

It is always crowded with people. It seems to be a good place to hang out with friends.

For the food, I can say that most of the food that i tried there doesn't disappoint me. I had tried their french toast, pork rice, instant noodle with ham and etc.

French toast is golden in color, it isn't oily at all...... the peanut butter jam smell good in every bite.

Their pricing is consider reasonable and affordable.

Recommended Dish(es):  french toast

Rainy night Smile May 12, 2013

Thanks to OpenRice and The Palazzo for the invitation to MakanVenture last wednesday. It was a memorable and worthy experience to me. lol

There was terrible jam (especially wednesday is Cheras's pasar malam) and it took me nearly 1 1/2 hours to reach there. sad

They starts with serving pumpkin soup. As told by the organiser, all The Palazzo foods are MSG free and make from scratch. tongue The soup was still hot when serves to us, definitely can warm myself in that rainy night. The smell was good. shocked I believe they really do this from scratch because I still can bite the pumpkin. Good to try it yourself!
