Sunday’s special Smile Jun 04, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum | Porridge | Private Party

They served varieties of dim sum and some of it only available on Sunday.

Their staffs keep approaching us with the dim sums and especially the Sunday’s special, even we are full, but we still want to try it on the spot. Haha!

The dim sums here are fine and well presented. The service is also very good here. My recommended foods here are their egg tart, and varieties of prawn dim sum because their prawn are fresh.

The “cha sao pao”(meat bun) also delicious. The pao’s skin is soft. The cha sao not too sweet.
All the foods look toothsome to us!!! The dim sums are really fine and fresh here.

If you wish to warm your stomach in the early morning, you can order their porridge. It comes with the crunchy Chinese cruller.

The food images inside the restaurant looks so attractive and appetizing.

The foods here are sinfully good with a reasonable price!

Non-halal pasta Smile May 12, 2013   (Related Review)

This is Pasta Carbonara. Heard they have added some white wine. Really surprising that white wine can mix so well in this carbonara pasta. Firstly, you will shocked with the portion. shocked Generous portion that can be shared with 2-3 persons. chopstick

When you slowly slowly enjoy the pasta, you will only taste the white wine when it is no more heat. For my first bite, I don't really think it is nice. But when it starts to cold, I only attracted to it. It is less creamy than other carbonara pasta that I tried elsewhere. Not very salty and they put generous portion of bacon in it. tongue Oh ya, I dislike the mushroom. mad I think the pasta is perfect without this mushroom. Maybe next time if i want to order, i will request them not to put this mushroom.

Peng-Leng-Jeng! Smile Jun 14, 2012

Their fried ho fan (fine kuey teow) also another recommended food here. It is serving very fast although the chef cook one by one. It has lots of bean sprout and clams. The clams are not overcooked. I think this fried kuey teow is comparable with the penang’s fried kueh teow.

One of my another favorite food there is their wan tan mee. It doesn’t normal at all the taste. The noodle are springy, the cha sao(pork) are well stewed with its own recipe. It serves together with 2 wan tan (dumplings) in soup. The wan tans are so soft.

The kopi are thick and strong coffee aroma.

The beverages here are just costs RM1.10 while the foods here are about RM3.30 per items.

When you have chance to dine at here, you will experiencing a “kampung” (village) feel dining in this old style kopitiam. It’s hard to find cheap, affordable and delicious food especially in KL, but you can have it all here. If kl you can only eat 1 bowl, but at here you can try 2 different type of foods with the price of one.

Roti Canai can be delicious 2 Smile May 14, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Malaysian variety | Kopitiam | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

What’s your best Roti Canai? The best Roti Canai I ever had is available at Teh Tarik Place. The dough is stretched thinly; the roti crispy, and not oily. The roti is thin, fluffy on the inside and crispy and flaky on the outside. It comes together with 3 sauces; sambal, dhal, and fish curry sauce.

Normal roti Canai are available anywhere, with a strong tasting flour dough. However the recipe here differs; as the dough doesn’t make us just taste the flour, but overall, the taste leaves you craving for more.

Unfortunately, in order to enjoy this Roti Canai, I needed to wait for long time for them to serve, about a 20 minute wait. But it’s worth it. Hehehe.

Ordinarily we eat roti canai at the mamak stall, but at Teh Tarik Place, a high class air-conditioned mamak, the pricing will be a bit expensive compare to elsewhere.

Of cause, they are not just selling roti canai; there are also other varieties of foods.
Now, I am sick for it …… oh no! Mouth-watering looooo tongue

Not only was I attracted to the Roti Canai, but also the staff’s uniform. It’s just normal round neck white t-shirt, but printed with various foods’ name in front, like, Roti Canai, Teh Tarik, Nasi Lemak, and more. It’s cute!!

The price for a plain roti canai with a glass of teh tarik is about RM5+- after the taxes.

Recommended Dish(es):  roti canai

Spending per head: Approximately RM5(早餐)

Dine in at a Swiss market Smile May 22, 2012

I was attracted by the big green cow placed outside this restaurant. We were greeted friendlily by their lovely staffs and give us a card each. The card is for us to stamp on it when ordering and need to present when make our payment.

I like their mushroom. But it’s only good when it’s still hot. Sometimes they haven cook the mushroom then we have to pre-order and wait for their next cooking time.

This roasted chicken leg was flavourful and juicy served together with the mash potato. The gravy makes the dishes more complete.

We had a different dining experience at here. Normally I will seat at different section here. That’s the fun and uniqueness of this restaurant and keeps me repeat my visit.
