Their fried ho fan (fine kuey teow) also another recommended food here. It is serving very fast although the chef cook one by one. It has lots of bean sprout and clams. The clams are not overcooked. I think this fried kuey teow is comparable with the penang’s fried kueh teow.

One of my another favorite food there is their wan tan mee. It doesn’t normal at all the taste. The noodle are springy, the cha sao(pork) are well stewed with its own recipe. It serves together with 2 wan tan (dumplings) in soup. The wan tans are so soft.

The kopi are thick and strong coffee aroma.

The beverages here are just costs RM1.10 while the foods here are about RM3.30 per items.

When you have chance to dine at here, you will experiencing a “kampung” (village) feel dining in this old style kopitiam. It’s hard to find cheap, affordable and delicious food especially in KL, but you can have it all here. If kl you can only eat 1 bowl, but at here you can try 2 different type of foods with the price of one.

Icy-icy Smile Jun 14, 2012

The desserts here are not very sweet taste. Suitable for those health’s conscious. The balls are very chewy and strong sweet potatoes taste.

For those who like green tea, you can order its green tea topping. It has strong taste of green tea too. My friends like it very much.

The big red bean has a good chewing. It is not overcook or undercook. Nice mix here!

If u don’t want to have the icy based, you may also choose for the “tauhu fa” (soy base).
It is smooth and not very sweet. It’s a perfect dessert when mixing with all the toppings.

Bread stick, RM 6

Honestly, this is the first time I eat bread stick that is soft. It is very crunchy and fresh. I can’t stop eating it until I finish a pack in a time. There are herbs. Although it look like over baked, but it don’t have bitter taste at all. It is quite expensive for a snack, this make me I can’t have it often. mad

This mamak is newly opened in bangi lama. Taking over from the previous mamak business, the new owner had upgrading this mamak. There are two sections; open area and air conditional room. The owner is a friendly person.

After spotted this supper place, my family and I continuously ate supper here for 2 weekends.

The thing I would like to share with openrice is, both visit we also had ordered maggi goreng (fried maggi noodle), but the funny thing is its looks differently on our second visit. First time the maggi goreng is in white, second time it’s this colour

Lack of QC??? Or maybe the first time we asked for not spicy……
But both try also nice and tasty.

The roti canai is not bad too. The dough is stretched well. The roti is thin and not greasy. Served with 2 sauces; fish curry and dhal.

banana plate Smile Jun 04, 2012

Banana leaf rice, RM7.70

The plate is replaced with the banana leaf. Then the staffs will add some of side dishes. There are salad, dhal, vegetable, beans, fried bitter gourd, fried potato and papadam.
It’s my first time eating bitter gourd like this-fried with seeds.

Although I dislike papadam, but their papadam really taste different. It’s very crispy and don’t have the typical Indian papadam taste.

They will pour the rice and you may have it in your ideal quantity. There are several sauces (for instant fish curry, dhal, chicken curry and one more I forgotten what it is) to be chosen to pour on top of the rice.

Overall, the rice is married well with all the side dishes and its dressing. Not too spicy because I choose for dhal and fish curry. They also served us cold water using the Indian cup.

It is another dining experience- Indian cuisine. Like it!
