Apom  OK Jun 24, 2013

Everywhere in Penang you can easily find apom. The aroma is always hardly resist if you smells it. All the apom are freshly made, and delicious especially is still hot. I like the surrounding which is so crispy. Inside has just a tiny piece of banana and some sweet corns. Something i don't like is the sweet corn they use has the root, which is quite hard when you bite it.

Mochaccino & Sandwich OK Aug 01, 2012   (Related Review)

The cafe is operate by a young man who is the barista too. The environment is cozy and comfortable. There are sofas corner which is a nice place to relax.

Mochaccino @ RM11.90
Different between mocha and mochaccino is that Mochaccino will have more foam than mocha. Yes 2 inch of foam on top. The portion is huge for a tall size. Taste wise, it is actually quite mild of both choco and coffee. For me, i prefer a stronger and thicker taste.

Turkey Cheddar Sandwich @ RM7.90
You can choose to have it heat up or not. Comes with wholemeal bread, turkey ham, 2 slices of cheddar cheese and lettuce. It taste good and the combination of turkey ham and cheddar is delicious. However, i find it quite dry. Luckily i have the mochaccino with me.

Char Hor Fun OK Jul 21, 2012   (Related Review)

Char Hor Fun
Actually the hor fun and meehoon is precooked. Once there is an order, they will just cooked up the gravy and ingredients then pour it on. It's served with huge prawns, pork meat, sliced char siew and green vege. The ''wok hey'' aroma of char hor fun is very important. However the taste here is just average and bit too salty. Adding in pickled green chili may enhance the taste nicer. Luckily the prawns and other ingredients are very fresh.

They serve Penang White Coffee here. It comes in a big mug but still ''thick'' and taste great (at least i feel better than the old town coffee). Enjoy the fragrance of white coffee smell so much. Price here is very reasonable too.

Yi Garden Cafe is a coffee shop with a few hawker stalls such as Koh Low Sar Hor Fun, Wan Tan Noodle, Fresh cooked porridge, Seafood stall and Fried Oyster. The cafe is always crowded especially during weekend.

Fried Oyster with egg @ RM10.00 for 3 sharing
They serve several portions from RM7.00 to RM12.00 depends how many person is sharing.

The specialties about this fried oyster is the boss use cakur (炭) to fry instead of normal gas stove. This make the fried oyster taste better.
Is of the big fat oyster is fresh. But the egg texture is so so only. I felt its too dry.

Spending per head: Approximately RM10

Hokkien Mee (prawn mee) Smile Jun 25, 2013

Hokkien mee @ RM3.00
This hokkien mee stall is located at Lebuh Presgrave. You won't missed the stall as there are several other stalls nearby due to the crowd. They only operate from evening till late night. There are many sides to add for a special customised Hokkien Mee i.e. pork bone, braised egg, pork leg, chicken feet, fish ball, roast pork and pork intestine. I order the normal ones with beansprout, tiny prawns, fried onions and egg. The soup here is so thick and very sweet with the prawn fragrance.
