Hokkien mee @ RM3.00
This hokkien mee stall is located at Lebuh Presgrave. You won't missed the stall as there are several other stalls nearby due to the crowd. They only operate from evening till late night. There are many sides to add for a special customised Hokkien Mee i.e. pork bone, braised egg, pork leg, chicken feet, fish ball, roast pork and pork intestine. I order the normal ones with beansprout, tiny prawns, fried onions and egg. The soup here is so thick and very sweet with the prawn fragrance.

Everywhere in Penang you can easily find apom. The aroma is always hardly resist if you smells it. All the apom are freshly made, and delicious especially is still hot. I like the surrounding which is so crispy. Inside has just a tiny piece of banana and some sweet corns. Something i don't like is the sweet corn they use has the root, which is quite hard when you bite it.

Apong Guan @ RM0.40
Apong Guan stall is located along Jalan Burma, roughly opposite a primary school. The seller is very friendly and will entertain us while we standing aside waiting for our apong. He will ask you to come later if his has alot of order in queue. Each apong just cost 40 cents very worth waiting for the delicious dessert. There are slices of banana and some sweet corn in it. Each bite is so flavourful and aroma of the little roasted taste.

This is most famous and 老字号 teochew chendol in Penang. The stall is crowded every day especially weekends. Besides chendol they sells ais kacang and red bean ice too. A bowl of chendol comes with red beans, coconut milk and gula melaka. I love the red bean the most as is really soft and sweet, the coconut milk with gula melaka is really fantastic too. I often request for more ice because is too sweet and due to the hot weather, the ice melted too fast.

This laksa stall is located at the busiest road on the way to Kek Lok Si temple. Is quite hard to find a car park space here unless you park further up and walk over. The laksa stall is always crowded and packed. However is really worth to wait for it. The laksa comes with the usual fresh vegetables, lots of onions, lemon grass, pink flower, chilli, chilli padi, mint leaves, shredded mackerel and tamarind. The soup is well boil with the strong tamarind taste, is thick as well due to the shredded mackerel in it too. Thumbs up !
