Longan Herbal Tea Cry Jun 18, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

Passby USJ 16 that day during lunch time. We just pick this kopitiam to dine in. Surprisingly not much ppl around 12pm. Quite heaty recently so i order the longan herbal tea. However i'm quite disappointed as the drink is quite diluted although it looks quite dark in color. Just a mild longan tea taste. There is 2 pieces of dry longan inside, but also almost tasteless after boiling for hours. It cost RM1.80 for a drink. The crowd started when we leaving around 1pm.

Matcha Float Cry Aug 12, 2012

Matcha Float @ RM8.90
It was served in a tall glass. Very greenish in color and topped with whipped cream and green tea ice cream. I personally enjoy the green tea ice cream very much because is rich of match taste. However the drinks are quite disappointed, as it tasted very powerish and diluted.

One thing to highlight, I also ordered a glass of warm water and when I call for the bill, I was shocked with RM2.00 charge. Written on the bill is Lemon Water with remarks: Warm and No lemon. shocked First of all I did not request for no lemon, and the waiter should have highlight this to me in advance. RM2.00 for a glass of warm water is more expensive than a mineral water !huffy At least they serve me with some lemon, i wouldn't have been so pissed.

Set Lunch  Cry Aug 06, 2012   (Related Review)

Jombali serving set lunch during weekdays from 11.00am to 3.00pm. At the price of RM10.90 you get a main dish and a glass of drink.

Today i ate the Kantonis Fried Sang Mee. It actually looks nice when served, which comes with fish paste, sliced chicken, prawns, sotong and green vege. The noodles are not still very crunchy although after soaking in the hot gravy for some time. Disappointed me again, the gravy is almost tasteless. We had to add on black soy sauce to enhance the flavour. Not to mention other ingredients, the prawns itself taste very artificial. It's almost transparent and no natural sweet taste at all besides crunchy.

Got a free drink with a nice name of Firewood Roaste Ice Coffee. Tasted just like normal ice coffee but at least better than the expectation of the noodle.

Unakyu Maki Cry Jul 30, 2012   (Related Review)

Unakyu Maki @ RM16
I was very disappointed with this unakyu maki. It was wrap with a huge chunk of sushi rice but the unagi is just a small slice in it and still squeeze with a cucumber. Worst still the maki rice is quite tasteless and hard. Although the outer layer is showered with sesame, it still can't enhance the taste. At last i just peel off the rice and eat the tiny eel meat and cucumber.

Nan Kara Kani Koumi Age @ RM16
First time seeing this long japanese name for Soft Shell Crab. It comes in a whole piece of soft shell crab and topped with mayonnaise ''web''. The taste is actually quite different from the usual soft shell crab I tried in other Japanese restaurant. This crispy part of it is like harder than those KFC skin texture. The skin is very thick and tasteless. I think they added too much flour. Worst still i can't taste any aroma of soft shell crab. I wonder did i order the wrong ''crab'' ?shocked
