Coffee Chemistry Signature (CCS) is the first in Malaysia to serve the World's Finest Coffee - Graffeo Coffee bean. Besides the usual Cappuccino, Mocha, Latte, Macchiato, they are serving the Flavoured ones with Almond, Hazelnut, Caramel and Vanila.

I personally love their Cappuccino, Mocha and Hazelnut Cappuccinno. First of all the coffee art on top that really attracts me. Beautifully designed that you are ain't to stir it. Topped with a layer of foam milk which tasted smooth and milk aroma. The mocha will come with a mixing of concentrated choco on top. Hazelnut cappuccino makes the cup of coffee tasted sweet and flavourful. The coffee is just too nice and addictive !
Last thing i like about CCS coffee is simply because no sugar need to be added, as the coffee has it own natural sweet taste.

However, if you are looking for very strong coffee, may be you will be disappointed here. Graffeo coffee is a little mild compare to normal coffee out there. Explained by them, the coffee is actually strong in terms of the coffee bean, the mild is the original taste of the fine coffee, and comes with it don't leave any bitterness.

Yummy Chendul Smile Jul 31, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Malaysian variety | Stall / Warung | Desserts

This Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul is a family business from their great grandfather. The stall is located at a side lane of the road just outside the Joo Hooi coffeeshop. The lane is always packed with tourist and customer queueing for this teochew chendul.

The chendul comes with a bowl of shaved ice, coconut milk, gula melaka, chendul and read beans. The taste is sweet and some salty taste due to the coconut milk at the same time leaving my mouth with fragrance of gula melaka. The red beans are nicely cooked, sweet and sandy. Great combination with the chendul. Very refreshing and chilling for a bowl of chendul especially for the hot weather like in Penang. I always finish my bowl of chendul happily and satisfying.

You can stand at the road side to enjoy the chendul or order into the Joo Hooi coffeeshop but with extra RM0.50 service charge.

Soft Shell Crab Pasta Smile Jul 28, 2012

Soft Shell Crab Pasta @ RM21.90
It served with a simple cream base spaghetti with some curry leaves and topped with 2 half pieces of deep fried soft shell crab. The spaghetti is nicely cooked, very smooth and bit chewy. The creamy sauce is quite mild and not salty at all but still taste great. Therefore it doesn't snatch the taste of the soft shell crab.

The softshell crab is very big that why the crab meat is thick too. It is so crispy and very fresh with sweetness. Very delicious and addictive. mad

Spending per head: Approximately RM22(午餐)

Berry Cheese Cake Smile Jul 28, 2012

Berry Cheese Cake @ RM6.50
There are many choices of their homemade cakes and pastries. This cheese cake is quite small piece but the taste is worth for the price. They are using the premium cheese and very rich in taste. At the bottom has a layer of berries that taste sweet and little sourish. Very delicious.

Best to come here for afternoon high tea with a bunch of friends to enjoy the cakes and premium coffee.

Hokkaido Cake Smile Jul 17, 2012   (Related Review)

I always wonder what is "Hokkaido Cake'' and i finally tried the first time from RT Pastry. I love it immediately and don't ever want to try others anymore.

Bought a box of 6 pieces strawberry flavor again last Sunday. Hokkaido Cake is a soft cotton cake with a chunk of fresh strawberry cream in it. It is so smooth and cooling just like strawberry ice cream. Presentation of the cake is really ''Hokkaido" feel because topping is showered with some icing just like snowing. Some will be jelak eating the fresh cream, but i feel its not that bad. Its definitely different from normal cream.
By the way, Hokkaido Cake must be chilled. It can leave the cooler for 3 hours max only.

a Box of 6 is RM14.80
