Lunch @ Sweet Bean Cry Jul 02, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Desserts | Porridge

Sweet Bean besides desserts and tong shui, they serve meals too.
Set Lunch from RM8.90 - RM16.90 including a main course, jelly and a choice of ice lemon tea or tong shui. There are 6 choices of tong shui to be chosen.

The jelly reminds me of my childhood time. It taste like the jelly we bought from the mini market at the old days.

Ice lemon tea - just an ordinary lemon tea with a piece of lemon.

BBQ Honey Chicken Mee (Dry) 蜜汁叉烧面 (干)

Steamed Chicken & BBQ Honey Chicken Mee (dry) 滑鸡蜜汁叉烧面 (干)

The noodle is quite salty and full of ‘'gan''水 taste (alkaline smell: the taste of wan ton noodle which is not cook/rinse thoroughly). BBQ chicken ''char siew'' is really quite dry and the steamed chicken are not well cooked, blood water flow out when i tear the chicken. I'm quite disappointed with the service too, there seems mostly non-local waiters. I wonder the cook are non-locals too.

It is just located same row with StarBucks and Hong Leong Bank.

As their name and menu shown, they are famous of the fresh water prawn fish head noodle. It's around RM15.90 for a bowl noodle with prawn.

Fish head noodle @ RM8.50
Additional charge of RM1.40 if request for fish meat rather than fish head.
They only serve one kind of mee hoon noodle, as the Boss say it's hard to QC.
Bad!

Bad!

Fish head and fish paste noodle @ RM8.50
Some pieces with fish meat is nice but some is more to only bones.. The soup is too little as the noodle is bit too much and will suck most of the soup away.

Squid Ball noodle @ RM8.50
Chili Sauce

Chili Sauce

Their special chili sauce. Quite spicy for me coz i cant take spice but like it because very sour.

Wonder why I din't order any drinks? Because the drinks bit too expensive, my friend tried their normal coffee which is near to tasteless and cost RM4.20. The cheapest drink is RM0.60 for sky juice and RM2.80 for herbal tea.
I have actually tried 2 times here. But i think for that price i can enjoy a better taste fish head noodle at the hawker stall nearby. They are yet to improve on the taste of the noodle, soup and fish. By the way, isn't it the best noodle with fish head should be the ''fatter'' ones?

A new mall in PJ just open last week at Kelana Jaya -- is call the ''Paradigm Mall''. Visited Kungfu Paradise for brunch.

their cute mascot

Kungfu Hot Stylo @ RM4.20

Their in-house coffee. Roasted from arabia coffee bean. but i find it too bitter, even i added 1 packet sugar.
Mushroom Soup @ RM4.90

Mushroom Soup @ RM4.90

Taste ok. But there are a lot unmelted starch in it. Dislike !
Kungfu Bun @ RM2.60

Kungfu Bun @ RM2.60

This bun on their menu is quite big just like a normal ''burger'' bun size. However i got a shocked when the bun came. This is just a normal saucer plate, see how mini is the bun? Furthermore, it's not any better than normal bun in bakery.
Great!The Duo Master @ RM16.90

Great!The Duo Master @ RM16.90

(mix of grilled chicken and fried fish with cheese baked rice)
The red sauce just taste exactly like the ''paste sauce'' from bottle i.e. Prego sauce. Just added with cheese and the grilled chicken meat looks reddish... fried fish only the crispy layer is nice, while fish is tasteless.

Nando's butter rice OK Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

The environment here is nice but a little deem light. The waiters here are friendly and helpful too.
Nando's special butter rice is cooked with the 3 colour beans. I remember my mum likes to cook this frozen 3 color beans, pea, corn and carrot with rice when i was small. Actually i don't eating it. However, the nando's version makes me feel different. It doesn't taste that bad afterall. The rice is abit dull but eating it with the nando's chicken makes it better.

Fried rice OK Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

We like to came here for meal because the food here is nice and cheap. They often have reasonable set meals and good to share among people more than it stated on the menu as their food portion is huge.
Fried rice come with a nicely fried sunny top egg. In the fried rice there are some chicken meat, fish cake and prawns. The taste is not very strong and best to request for their sambal to serve on.
