Fried kueh teow OK Sep 28, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

Seldom go to kopitiam to eat nowadays due to the super hot weather. Kwai Sang kopitiam is extremely packed especially during lunch hour. Manage to get a table with friends that day and i ordered the fried kueh teow. Served in a reasonable portion with 2 huge prawns. The kueh teow is nicely fried just a little too salty. I found fish paste cake inside too. The clams abit overcooked but overall was nice.

Mushroom carbonara OK Sep 28, 2013   (Related Review)

Mushroom carbonara is served on top of the fresh lettuce. It looks so fresh and looks healthy besides the heavy carbonara sauce. There are several mushroom such as golden needle mushroom, brown and white fresh button mushroom in the carbonara sauce. The sauce is quite thick and just nice on the flavour. I think the spaghetti pasta that is not too soft, still got the chewing feeling to bite on.

Salmon Fillet OK Sep 28, 2013   (Related Review)

Salmon Fillet with Wasabi Aioli @ RM26
The salmon fillet comes with 3 types of sauce: Maryland, Grilled or Tempura. There are 3 sidelines to mix and match from: potato gratin, wedges & dips, mix garden salad, pasta salad, grilled vegetables or colonial rice.
They specifically mention is norwegian salmon. I chosen the grilled salmon with wedges, colonial rice and mix garden salad. The portion is very huge. The salmon served in a big and thick sliced. Too bad is not juicy enough, very filling to finish that thick piece of meat. Wasabi sauce is quite unique with a bit spice that cure my nose block. Wedges is crispy and flavourful. The rice is quite blend but neutralised by the raisins.

Chee Cheong Fun OK Sep 25, 2013   (Related Review)

The chee cheong fun here doesn't looks that tempting compared to the one i ate in Penang. However, they uses the black sauce that is quite similar and i feel the sauce is not enough for the whole plate of cheong fun. I like the generous sesame seeds on top, very aromatic when bitten it. I forgotten the exact price but i remember it is quite pricey for this portion of cheong cheong fun.

Tiramisu cake OK Sep 25, 2013   (Related Review)

Wanted to try out the coffee here for quite sometimes but the place here hardly can find a car park space. The cafe has just 4 small tables, be lucky to get a seat too. Besides serving coffee, they also prepared some cakes and bits bites (i.e. wafer) for customer to chew on. The portion is not big and just nice to have some sweetness while enjoying their coffee. The tiramisu is quite unique as it is quite moist and creamy. The cake portion is quite minimal and more to the coffee taste.
