Yakitori Toridoki

momo (もも), chicken thigh
"negima" (ねぎま), chicken and spring onion
tsukune (つくね), chicken meatballs
(tori)kawa ((とり)かわ), chicken skin, grilled until crispy
tebasaki (手羽先), chicken wing
bonjiri (ぼんじり), chicken tail
shiro (シロ), chicken small intestines
nankotsu (なんこつ), chicken cartilage
hāto / hatsu (ハート / ハツ) or kokoro (こころ), chicken heart
rebā (レバー), liver
sunagimo (砂肝) or zuri (ずり), chicken gizzard
toriniku (鶏肉), all white meat on skewer
yotsumi (四つ身), pieces of chicken breast

Konsai Salad.

Yakitori Negima RM5 ,

Yakitori Toridoki RM 8,

Cheese Yaki Onigiri RM12

Yakitori Toridoki

Char Kuay Teow in a hotel! Smile Sep 23, 2013

Categories : Malay | Western variety | Restaurant | Buffet | Nasi Lemak

Hotel Equatorial Penang is somewhere we often perform at. It's quite an old hotel situated on top of the hill with beautiful view. Usually, during our freetime we will park ourselves at Coffee Garden to have our meal and just plan the night out. They have a small menu with both Western variety and Local delights. Unfortunately usually we don't have time to venture out of the hotel for Penang's famous street food so we just make do with the food here. Luckily, their food is pretty decent. This time I opted for the Char Kuay Teow (surely should be good considering it's still Penang?). Not long after, this plate of aromatic noodles arrived.

Looks pretty good! Plenty of prawns, beansprouts, and some cockles buried underneath. But of course it's pork free. No matter though as the noodles actually tasted quite good with fair amount of wok breath. It was a little bit underseasoned but there was soy sauce provided on the side so problem solved. I managed to finish the whole plate. I would prefer to have the cockles slightly undercooked but maybe I should have specify that. Otherwise it's pretty decent CKT. Of course, it comes with a hefty price tag of RM20++. But at least I got to enjoy some local fare during my trip.

The service was attentive and polite and the ambiance was relaxed and cheerful. Nothing to complain about.

Ais Kacang @ Kek Seng OK Dec 30, 2013
Categories : Kopitiam | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

Kek Seng is a one-stop food centre where you can find a variety of food that satisfy everyone's appetite. It is located at 382-384, Jalan Penang, George Town. This stall sells ais kacang.

Ais Kacang

Ais kacang is a cool and refreshing dessert to be eaten. There are two ice-creams, vanilla and strawberry, pudding, grass jelly, red beans and corns in this ais kacang. The price is reasonable.

one of my very favourite chinese restaurant in shopping malls. Super love their thick porridge and had the sliced fish and also the pork balls combination. usually comes with fried crullers and spring onion on top.  the fragrant flower tea was light and comforting for a rainy night. and also the Flat Noodles in Egg Gravy (Wat Tan Hor) was great too! wished that they added more fried meehoon instead. nevertheless, satisfying Hong Kong style food.

Loving this place!!! Price reasonable and delicious food. mad But should improve in service. Should try butter chicken rice, grandmother fried rice, spaghetti with drumstick, boxing wings, chicken chop, NASI LEMAK(super good with rendang chicken), malak ramen, zha cheong ramen etc. Value for money. Very crowded during lunch and dinner time. But should improve in toilet cleanliness.
