IMiirage (Closed)

Visit Ipoh a few weeks ago and my uncle took us to this place that was apparantly so hard to get in. (Spoiler Alert: I later found out that you'll have to make reservations and order via the Mecan Order smart phone app there is also a discount).When we arrived there, it looked classy and my jaw dropped when i saw a whale swimming within its walls! Three out of four walls are just LED panels showing an underwater display. there were fishes and I'll say it again: A WHALE!!I wish my smartphone's battery was smarter haha but I couldnt take pictures or videos. We were so engrossed in the conversation at the table that before you knew it, my first course arrived. I ordered the  5 Course Iberico setMy First Course: Salade AUX Noix with Bacon and WalnutsTaste: 7/10 (Bacon gets an extra half point..So it's 7.5)My Second Course: Mushroom SoupTaste 6.5/10 (It was quite good but I took a taste of the Pumpkin Soup, sedappppp)My Thrid Course: Char Grilled Middle Eastern Flavoured Iberico Black Pork “Secreto."Taste: 8/10 (This Black Pork is tender as h*ck! I think this is a must try!)My Fourth Course: Cheese CakeTaste: 6.5/10 (It was good..up there..but I have tasted better.. Sorry)My Fifth Course: TeaTaste: It's tea lah... ish! hahahaahPrice: For me, free.. for my very kind uncle, RM105 (after discount). Worth every penny to dine in this environment, food taste is unique too especially the iberico black pork "secreto", red wine braised wagyu beef cheek & Atlantic blue mussels in white wine. Is quite impressive to have such dining environment in Ipoh city and I don't have to travel far away places to enjoy this, although S'pore has a real aquarium restaurant like this but I don't mind this as I don't have to spend much more with high currency exchange rate. The food price are reasonable too, the set meals are really a good deals. Highly recommended. continue reading
