One of the must-try-dessert when summer day! You can choose the varying from basic to varieties like adding sticky rice, red bean, ice cream, sweet corn, and some places even got red sago too. The green starch noodles were redolent of pandan leaves extract. Can you imagine how everyone willing stand under the hot sun and still enjoying the cendol? Trust me, It worth to come again and again.Another note, the boss is creative enough. He show us his business card and his position he put is CEO. cute

One of the Penang famous food 'spot' that you cannot miss is here- Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul It is full of people queuing around even under a hot sun just for this savouring and thirst quenching dessert- teo chew chendol. There are few stalls of chendol located at the Penang road, just spot for stalls with longest queue and you will know where to look for this teo chew chendol.

If you wan't to go for a food trip in Penang, remember to try out their famous cendol in Penang Road. It is a small stall beside Joo Hooi Restaurant. They don't have any sits for the customer to eat. If you wan't to eat inside the restaurant you need to pay a surchange of Rm0.50 per bowl. It just looks like normal cendol that you can get in other stall. It contain cendol jelly, brown sugar, kidney red bean and santan. The ingredients they use are fresh and you can feel the ice, santan and brown

This is most famous and 老字号 teochew chendol in Penang. The stall is crowded every day especially weekends. Besides chendol they sells ais kacang and red bean ice too. A bowl of chendol comes with red beans, coconut milk and gula melaka. I love the red bean the most as is really soft and sweet, the coconut milk with gula melaka is really fantastic too. I often request for more ice because is too sweet and due to the hot weather, the ice melted too fast.

Well, this famous teochew cendol is so popular i think the stall owner has become millionaire selling cendol. No kidding, the amount of people keep waiting in line at this stall is really impressive. All these years, every time i go back to Penang, i will grab the chance to have a bowl of the cendol. But over the years, perhaps my tastebud has changed, i find the cendol not as exciting as before. Still, it is still one of the best in the country. I still love their red beans for sure.

This famous Teochew Cendol is a local delicacy basically made up of shaved ice, coconut milk, gula melaka, red beans and the long wormy green stuff (I don’t know what they are made of but I think it might have pandan as one of the ingredients). It is really good. The gula melaka is thick and tastes good. The santan is fresh and at the right thickness. The cendol green wormy stuff is just nice and not too tough.Just wanna say that the whole cocktail tastes heavenly, especially on a hot sunny day

It is the best dessert to be eaten when the weather is hot. Taste delicious and you will not forget the taste of the Chendul. Standing while eating makes the Chendul more memorable. Price is reasonable and makes you feel like having a second helping. It is located at a road alley but who cares when a great dessert can satisfy your day. Do not wait anymore. Try it cause you will love it!

Whenever I'm in Penang, I will be sure to go for the cendul on Penang Road because it is for me one of the best cendul in town. What I love about it especially is the kidney beans, it used to be quite special because it wasn't used in cenduls in Klang Valley but of course that has changed now. They have a smooth consistency and not hardened like some and the mixture of shaved ice, kidney beans and gula melaka is so right together. The kidney beans is softened to just before mash texture still retaining its shape and so good when the shaved ice melts and mixes with the gula melaka giving the liquid mixture a brownish color and a sweetness that was not overpowering. And there wasn't any strong taste of coconut milk which I do not favour. This is definitely a dessert stall that I will revisit again and again.

You might hear about it or you might taste it, the Penang Road Cendol is still one of the best in Penang. Cendol is a popular dessert in Malaysia. Our recent trip to Penang brought us to revisit this popular stall. As usual, the place is packed as everyone was queuing up for their favourite dessert.
However, there are some new changes. If you want to sit inside the restaurant for this delicious dessert, the restaurant will charge you RM 0.50 for each bowl.
I don’t mind paying the extra RM 0.50 for my RM 2 cendol rather than standing outside burning under the scorching sun. The dessert still remains the same and it lives up to the expectation as one of the best on the island. The fragrant brown sugar and also the taste and texture of the cendol highlight their superiority among the rest.
I won’t be surprised if this dessert will be listed among the best street food or dessert in the world.
