Suckerpunched by a bowl of soup? Today I was. Penang has Laksa and Curry Mee spots galore, but what I found severely lacking was a solid bowl of Ramen. I tried a couple places with no luck, and was on the verge of giving up when the fight to live returned. I commandeered a cab, hurtled north, walked around the block a few times waiting for it to open, was told by the waitress "It's salty so if you want it less salty order with extra broth". I reassured her it was ok. I was right. This was top notch ramen. Everything, except perhaps the slightly dry-chewy pork, was on point.You could easily find worse ramen than this in Tokyo, or anywhere in Japan for that matter. This is a typical hokkaido ramen shop which open quite some times in Queensbay Mall, Penang.I'm an onigiri lover, for sure I'll ordered myself a plate of it.As per usual, they have use the onigir powder.when you visited their restaurant, you wIll not miss out their miso ramen.We ordered the Kara Miso Ramen, its not very spicy and suitable for those cannot took spicy food. Also, miso always taste salty... But you do not need to worries, you won' felt salty after finish the whole bowl. Hightlight, the meat not an oily meat. Also, I orderEd a kids meal that coming with a milk pudding.For kids, the portion is quite big. 一 般海外餐厅如果想选择在马来西亚开第一间分行,他们的第一选择一般都是首都吉隆坡或雪兰莪。槟城一般都是海外餐厅们眼里的小二或者小三。当然这也不能怪他 们,毕竟槟城只是个小地方,人口没吉隆坡或柔佛那么多,消费能力也没吉隆坡/雪兰莪来得高。但雅面屋这家来自日本北海道的拉面店眼光独到而且勇气可嘉,选 择了马来西亚槟城为他们在海外的第一家分行。和服务员点好餐后就忙着拿起手机拍照,不到十分钟的时间,小狮期待已久的烧味增汤底拉面便已送到小狮桌前。拉面的配料基本上都一样,就有香脆的紫菜与青葱、 有弹性的竹笋干、两大片肥瘦均匀的日式叉烧和小狮超爱的溏心蛋。不过豚骨汤底的配料没有竹笋干,但却有木耳丝。不知道把豚骨汤底的竹笋干换成木耳丝是不是 有啥特别原因。雅面屋的拉面及大部分配料都是直接进口自北海道总店,以保持原汁原味。 北海道的拉面属偏肥,可能比本地黄面稍微粗一点,可是吃起来却非常有弹性及爽口。虽然小狮偏爱一般用在在豚骨汤底较幼的拉面,但这爽口有弹性的粗肥拉面更 能带出烧味增汤底浓郁的香味,所以小狮还是非常喜欢的。由于雅面屋的每碗拉面只有半颗溏心蛋,当拉面送到桌前时,溏心蛋多少已被热腾腾的汤给烫得七七八八 了,所以蛋黄就有点偏熟。烧味增汤底非常浓郁,可能对有些人来说会太咸,不过这浓郁及偏咸的汤底正是北海道非常地道汤底的味道,而雅面屋并不想因为迎合当 地人的口味而改变北海道原有浓郁的汤底味道。他们想带给大家的正是最最正宗及原汁原味的北海道拉面,不然就失去了那不用飞到北海道也能吃到正宗北海道拉面 的宗旨。更多关于Menya Miyabi Hokkaido Ramen,请浏览http://bit.ly/QXpTQq continue reading

Menya Miyabi's signature dish is Yaki-Miso Ramen.The food presentation is visually appealing. A generous amount of ramen noodles is served in thick, brown miso broth. Two slices of Char Siew and a one-half Marinated Soft Boiled Egg give material substance to the noodles. 北海道拉面终于来到槟城了。。太期待他们家拉面的味道,到底要怀着怎样的心情去呢。。。和同事确定了时间就出发了。。。 这是室内的招牌,还有他们家的厨房是开放式的哦。。个人觉得很有日本的味道。不错不错。。 这饺子很香,卖相不是很ok, 但,真的好吃。6pcs : RM11主角来了,这就是他们家的招牌拉面,烧味拉面。。 浓浓的汤底,QQ的面,太好了。。 RM23海鲜炒拉面,味道也不错,很适合重口味的人哦。RM24满足的一餐。。 continue reading
