Wan tan mee is one of the famous stall here. This is where the noodles is different from many stalls in Penang where the texture is transparent springy type. The wantan mee here compared the last round i tasted had down graded already. The taste is not really as tasty as before and the wantan is no longer having shrimps. You may order either the dry version or the soup version.
Penang Prawn Mee or more well known as Penang Hokkien Mee here is one of the famous one. It is said that the cook does travel to Singapore to sell during some events of Malaysian Food. It is also featured in Chinese newspaper as well. The Prawn Mee here is served with pork and small shrimps and egg. It is being added with the delighting curry paste on it. The taste of prawn can be tasted but it is lacked of a slight spiciness to me.
Roti Babi is actually a deep fried bread till golden brown and inside they inserted the ingredients of shredded pork meat as well as some mengkuang and carrots. It is served together with the Lee and Perrine Sauce which another word among the locals will de the Western Soya Sauce…and is is delicious when is served hot.. and dip with the soya sauce.
I am trying the Curry Mee there.. but the taste not as nice as last 2 months... The taste is quite ok but compare to AIr Itam is oh.. gosh.. i still prefer the one in Air itam.. This curry me only have 2 prawns and the is real expensive.. just a small bowl cost me RM 3.00 and not much ingredients inside. just have a little sotong and taugeh..the portion is kinda small and it is not spicy enough too.
Why is that so? The mee is different from others as its mee had add eggs when processing it. Other than that, the prawn is not only wrapped with meat but u can find prawns inside there as well. It is yummy.. mosly i will ordered just wan tan only with the mee.. cause i don take much of others. And the noodles also have less kan sui smell. The wantan is good too which is simply delighting and have big prawns and minced meat inside which cater to my taste buds.
