one of those few places in penang which has a wide variety of cakes to choose from and we had the chocolate nutella pave which was super moist and rich in dark chocolate flavours. we also tasted abit of seasalt in it too which lends abit of saltiness and balance out the sweetness of the cake.

A visit to Chinahouse is incomplete without a serving of those decadent looking desserts and amongst all the cakes on display, I decided to go for the nutella pave cake.Pavê is a Brazilian dessert that resembles a tiramisu, but oh so much better! This version had layers of moist, rich heavenly chocolate ganache and is finished to perfection with wonderful hazelnut topping & lusciously rich chocolate & nutella ganache frosting.The chocolate flavor was really intense and addictive.This dessert is best served cold as the texture will become too soft over time if stored in room temperature.

I went for dinner at China House recently. Kind of disappointed that the variety and quality of food were not as good as before. However, the service was indeed still as good except for wifi was very weak and as good as none at certain spots or areas. I guess the owner has change the direction to attract foreigners and younger group of customers as its indeed a good place for foreigners in term of its deco, layout, atmosphere and taste and selection of food. We tried the Sarawakian laksa. taste real mild and not close to the laksa we had at Kuching. The recommended appetizer was not good as its just like putting together all the kacang puteh stuff from little Indian. The recommended crispy prawn salad is also a disappointment as salad as the veggies portion is just too little. however, the deep fried prawn is crispy and tasty. Desserts are the highlights, as always, at China House.Brownie with vanilla ice cream. Tiramisu's presentation might not looks as good as its taste. this is one of the best tiramisu you can find in Penang.

來到檳城遊玩當然也不忘探索當地的特色咖啡廳,而我最期待的就是有著'檳城最長咖啡廳'稱號的唐人厝。它是由三間老店合成的一家的餐廳,中間是由一個水池居中的院子(courtyard)銜接,這獨特的設計把唐人厝變成檳城最長的咖啡廳。唐人厝其實是由幾個不同設計概念而組成的餐廳,其中包括了:Kopi C, BTB & Restaurant, Beach Street Bakery, 14 Chairs, Vine & Single, Reading Room, Courtyard & Cafe & Burger Bar, Canteen & Bar, Art + Theatre。那一天我們離開了姓周橋後,便踩單車去到了位於名香泰涼茶鋪附近的唐人厝。不過呢如果從這扇門進入便會倒著走,因為這裡應該是它的後門哦,大多數人都是會從另一扇門進入。因此我即將介紹的各個餐廳次序便會和大家的對調,我們一起來看看吧。Canteen & Bar我們最先進入的餐廳是Canteen & Bar,我相信提供的食物應該是以西餐為主。Canteen & Bar擺放了很多樂器,相信晚上時分會有live band的表演。我們抵達時是下午時分,這裡好冷清,連一桌客人都沒有,不知道是不是晚上才熱鬧呢?再往前走會看見小角落有售賣手工飾品,大家喜歡的話可以看看哦。獨特的壁畫和裝飾是唐人厝的特色。就連廁所旁都有可愛的壁畫。Courtyard & Cafe & Burger Bar再往裡邊走就是大家都很喜歡的院子啦,這裡也是餐廳哦!很喜歡樹上的紅布,感覺像是許願樹,好特別。不過由於天氣太熱,我們還是不坐這兒用餐啦。院子裡有道牆,"福"子少了一豎,需要靠你去完成,很特別吧?❤Reading Room顧名思義,Reading room當然有很多書籍讓你閱讀,能讓你邊用餐邊看書。Vine & SingleVine & Single是喝酒的地方,只有晚上才開放。14 Chairs14 Chairs真的只有14張椅子,可是我們兩人不可能坐這兒吧 Beach Street BakeryBeach Street Bakery專賣蛋糕,令郎滿目的精緻西點開放式地擺放在桌子上,看了都流口水啦!Kopi C.Espresso唐人厝的盡頭就是Kopi C,也應該說是它正門進入的第一個餐廳。這裡的餐桌只能坐兩人,位子較狹窄。我們從頭走到尾,最後選擇了在Reading Room用餐。Reading Room的桌子是長桌,需要和其他客人share桌子,不過這並無大礙。大家可能會覺得奇怪為什麼餐桌上會有蠟筆呢?原來唐人厝的桌子都會鋪上一張白紙,讓大家在用餐的同時能起筆作畫,很有創意吧!「吃吃喝喝•看世界」到此一遊!❤本人美術不好,還是寫寫字就好了^_^不忘來張合照:)Lemon Ginger Mint, RM12.00飲料方面選擇了檸檬+姜+薄荷口味的熱茶,這味道是我的最愛。Breakfast Wrap, RM18.00- of Omelette, semi-dried tomatoes, eggplant jam & rocket不想吃太飽所以點了早餐手卷,裡面包了雞蛋、蕃茄和蔬菜,很不錯哦。一旁的沙拉也很好味,我還蠻喜歡的。Secret Ingredients Spaghetti Bolognaise, RM28.00-with salad of eggplant, rocket & parmesan男友點的義大利麵是我見過最特別的,連名字都取為獨特祕方義大利麵。味道不是一般的番茄醬汁,而是類似豆瓣醬的醬料,吃起來有點像肉搓麵哦!最令我驚訝的是義大利麵裡還有茄子呢!這樣的搭配看起來雖然還蠻奇怪的,但吃起來其實很不錯唷〜這就是我們在唐人厝的午餐,好吃。❤原本我想再點蛋糕,可惜不爭氣的肚子吃不下了,只好作罷。聽聞唐人厝的蛋糕很不錯,我沒吃到真的很後悔啊!><吃完午餐,大家記得別忘了到樓上的展覽室參觀哦!有點詭異的圖像,不過卻很有feel。大家都會拍照的一角,不可錯過。從樓上往下看正是Beach Street Bakery的蛋糕擺放處,真好看!喜歡樓上的藝術陳列室,別有一番風味。樓上還有一家小小的商店,我並沒有進去參觀。唐人厝真是個好藝術的餐廳,你真的不能不到此參觀。離開時又經過了獨特的院子,大家看見水池了吧!如果天氣不是那麼熱,我相信在這裡用餐會很有感覺哦。再見了,唐人厝!唐人厝China House183B Victoria Sreet and 153 & 155 Beach StreetGeorgetown, Penang.www.chinahouse.com.my04-263 7299
