Recently I found out that the Cheese naan is really awesome with the combination of fresh milk. It is lovely with the creamy taste of cheese and the spicy fragrant taste of Dahl sauce. It comes with a big portion and very stomach satisfying.However,The price in Kayu is often slightly higher compared to other restaurant as it is the most popular mamak restaurant in Penang. Undoubtedly the quality is also worthy in price.

Besides Penang Assam Laksa and fried kueh teow, Penang nasi Kandar is something to sought for. There is always a long queue in this particular place and there is a lot of spices in their food, which makes it special from the rest. Their one portion serving is generous and the mutton curry is lovely, Tender meat and zesty curry. Vegetables are not salty and the fish curry is another ideal gravy to the rice.

Kayu nasi Kandar is one of the famous 24 hours nasi kandar in Penang and it is famous for its longest roti tisu as well as many food there. This time, on my schedule back Penang with dear, we went to have Nasi Kandar since we arrived in Penang kinda late this time. What we had?I ordered a normal Nasi Kandar with just a fried chicken as add in some curry. The food is not bad since the kuah is nice but fried chicken I still prefer the one in Changkat Jong in Teluk Intan. The fried chicken not really spicy and crispy.. haha.. but the taste is not bad.The chicken meat is quite tender and the curry is quite good with the tasty taste of it.
