Penang Asam LaksaThe taste of the asam laksa is just alright, the flavour of the fish broth is there. It is served with a specially made he ko (Hokkien for shrimp paste). However, it is not as nice as the other asam laksa that I have tried in Penang.

THey are tangy and chewy. THe asam laksa tastes a bit sourish and salty. It tastes really nice.

亞參叻沙Asam Laksa RM 5.00 是我偏爱的食物。槟城美食多是出名的，要想尝到地道的槟城美食，就应该去新关仔角小贩中心去一趟。亞參是一種酸酸的羅望子，與其他香料和魚湯熬煮後成為亞參叻沙的主要基底，麵條用的是粗粗的米粉條。湯匙裡放的是濃稠的蝦膏。這種酸辣刺激、拥有層次豐富的口感呢！

Asam Laksa is a must while visiting Penang at gurney drive. There is these 2 famous stall 11 & stall 73. Like this asam laksa at stall 73. Very colorful presentation, on taste wise, its great and with ample garnishing's. The prawn paste is thick and for a stronger taste, it could be added extra without additional cost. The lai fun is just nice, soft and chewable. Only that the fish meat is a bit on the less side. "Broth is very nice, not too sour taste of the assam. ;)
