Traditionally in Spain, they use the round side of the plate to slice the pig in three sections. The plate is then smashed to "remove bad luck" and the person who smashes the plate is also allowed to make a wish that is said will come true with this ritual.If you feel like slicing a piglet with its head still in tact kinda gory and horror, you can always try the Seafood Paella.
