The best food to have during rainy days, I would definitely choose steamboat. The satisfaction of slurping on the simmering broth and spending time together interacting while waiting for the food is what I enjoy.Spotted this newly opened steamboat-P.S.Cafe which is located at Platinum Walk. P.S.Cafe served authentic Malaysian food and their signature halal steamboat set. Recognisable by its' traditional trishaw and coconut tree themed signboard, P.S Cafe is worth visiting for their steamboat men
Spotted this newly opened steamboat-P.S.Cafe which is located at Platinum Walk. P.S.Cafe served authentic Malaysian food and their signature halal steamboat set. Recognisable by its' traditional trishaw and coconut tree themed signboard, P.S Cafe is worth visiting for their steamboat menu. Comfortable place to dine in with friendly and attentive staff. Originally born from Penang, the owner hope customers can feel the homey restaurant environment with the touch on the vintage interior and wooden finishing. The red brick wall is specially designed and he is planning to put on the old and unique wall arts soon. Set lunch promotions that comes with the selection of nasi lemak ayam, maggie tom yam seafood and wan tan mee soup with only RM 6.90 from 11am to 3 pm . Teh o Ais drinks is included with the set. Customers have the options to choose a single drinks or a jug for sharing among 3-4 pax. Reasonable steamboat promotions set that is cater for different group of customers from individual set to 4-6 pax set menu. The seafood menu include scallop, tiger prawn, flower crab, and dory fish fillet, all are carefully selected. Ordered from the Malay providers for all the ingredients and replenish often to keep them fresh. Current ala carte menu that is available. Longan juice ice (RM 3) and Umbra Sour Plum (RM 2.50). Both drinks are refreshing and I personally prefer the Sour Plum, a healthy goodness drinks. The steamboat here comes with a half pot clear soup in one side and another half tomyam soup. We prefer the clear soup. The soup is boiled with
nutritious anchovies and Jicama (sengkuang), which can bring out the natural
sweetness of the soup . The tom yam soup is belly warming with the right
balance of the spicy taste, They used the tom yam paste, serai with additional adding
on the lime and daun limau purut. Flavoursome, spicy, sour and fragrant tom yam soup. We are given the set that is exactly same with their current promotion deal in Groupon offering two person serving steamboat set that includes the following:
4 x Shrimp tail
5 x Lobster ball
6 x Sandwich tofu
7 x Fried fish cake
4 x Stuffed fish ball
4 x Chicken slices
Cabbage
Meehoon
Noodles
Broccoli
The only missing ingredient is the seaweed which I just realized. The amount is actually nice just to satisfy two adult .The drawback is the presentation of the broccoli which could be better as the colour doesn't looks appetizing to me. The broccoli has change colour and the crisp texture become limp. The standard sauce that can be found in Malay steamboat. They only have two sauces - Thai sauce and chili padi with soy sauce. Pretty decent All the ingredients is bring to boil and ready within 8-10 minutes. Aromatic tom yam soup Bouncy fishball stuffed with mushroom Non spicy Sarawak Mee Goreng (RM 8.90). Sometimes we call it Mi Kolok. The mee goreng is a wee bit salty for my liking. Wan Tan Mee Soup (RM 8.90). A hot pot with wan tan mee texture and generous portion on the seafood ( prawns, crabmeat, chicken meat and dried oyster).Flavoured and sweet soup
Thanks to Ricky and Mr. Lai for this invitation and we are glad to found another new eatery place in Setapak area.
