Hidden in myriad of Korean restaurants in Ampang, Korean Chocken House offers different selections of Korean food than typical Korean restaurants.

The interior of the restaurant (located at 2nd floor) looks like a typical Korean restaurant overladen by Kpop music but thw food served here can be a pleasant surprise.

The mildly spiced Korean Fried Chicken is very crunchy and not oily. Coupled with sweet chili sauce (or simple salt & pepper) and Mageolli, this is perfect for after work snacks.

This restaurant also offers Jokbal that seems to be a favorite for the Korean patrons. Jokbal are pork trotters boiled with scallion, garlic, ginger, rice wine & water before being simmered slowly until tender. The result is soft and tender pork trotters that are flavorful. Served with lecture and sauces (Korean bean paste or fermented shrimp sauce), this is a must try. However be warned, this dish is meant to be shared by 2-3 person.

Definitely worth a try if you are looking for something different than usual Korean bbq.
