The coconut craze has begun in town. It has always been a major ingredient in our local cuisine, but this time around it's the ice cream. Yes you read that right, ice cream.

We have always hear and read about their desert when they first started out. As they branch out to even more branches in town, we finally manage to grab one in Nu Sentral. For your information, Sangkaya is a local developed creamery brand. We first thought it was from Thailand.

Anyway, thankfully there wasn't a long queue but there were only a handful of tables, best option is to take away after meal. What else can beat a cup of ridiculously good and refreshing coconut ice cream in Malaysia's weather?

But in our opinion, the ice cream doesn't come cheap. For three scoops you can opt for the one in the coconut shell with toppings of your choice. Very much to our liking, probably because it is less sweet compared to the regular ice cream flavours (chocolate, caramel) etc.

It's best to add peanuts and sweet corn as toppings as it complements the ice cream perfectly. The coconut taste is really strong, perfect for coconut lovers like myself. It still leaves an after taste in our mouth after each and every scoop.
