The almond leaf from The loaf used to be one of my favourite pastries from this bakery. I said used to because they changed the recipe recently and it bombed big time. The new recipe made the almond leaf smaller flatter and changed the taste completely. The old almond leaf used to be crunchy and airy but the new recipe is just a piece of flat stone hard biscuit. Apart from that, the layer of syrup is too much for me to handle. I miss the old almond leaf as there was a layer of sugar coating but

The new recipe made the almond leaf smaller flatter and changed the taste completely. The old almond leaf used to be crunchy and airy but the new recipe is just a piece of flat stone hard biscuit. Apart from that, the layer of syrup is too much for me to handle. I miss the old almond leaf as there was a layer of sugar coating but the new one has only a layer of syrup which is harden.
