This year, it is the first time I get a box of a very unique mooncakes and I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Let's check it out why it is so unique. =)
What is unique about this Yuen Fatt mooncakes and others lies in the pastry’ crust. The crust is similar to pies as it crumbles upon cutting. It tasted very crispy and would not stick to your mouth. The sweetness is just nice too. Eating it with tea is definitely good and well should I say one of the enjoyable moment in life.

Shanghai Mooncake @ KluangWow, this delicacy actually blows my mind the moment I savour it for the first time. I never thought that Shanghai Mooncake could be made this way, but of course, it’s uniquely produced by none other than Yuen Fatt bakery itself. Too bad, it’s located far away from KL, that is at Kluang, Johor an no other outlet so far. But am lucky enough to get a few bites of them, thanks to a friend who just went there the week before. Shanghai Mooncake @ Kluang

Wow, this delicacy actually blows my mind the moment I savour it for the first time. It is said that people would queue for this specialty which is only available during Mooncake festival, and those people come as far as Singapore as well.

As you could see, this Shanghai Mooncake is not the ordinary you have seen, They are shaped in a rather elongated oval shape, wrapping the lotus paste and egg yolk within. The best part and unique thing about it is the pastry skin that is used to encase all the filling. It is so buttery and taste so nice! Akin to melt-in-your-mouth scene, the pastry is so soft that the moment you slice it, the pastry skin dissemble to powdery form. Still I enjoy it very, very much!
