Opensnap!

“Thank you Opensnap for this opportunity”, says Kath.

I heard that the name has its own meaning, where WA means harmony and TAMI means people. It was founded by Watanabe Miki.

It is located at level 4 Pavilion, nearby Chatime and DOME Café.

The interior is nice, spacious and the light is quite dim. It
is suitable for large groups of people as they have private room as long as you
reserve few days on their website.

Opensnap: Mango Cheese Bingsu | Seoul Bingsu PV128

One of their staff explained to us what was provided in the
menu. They gave us to choose one of the main courses, either chicken, beef, pork or salmon.

So I chose BEEF as I really do love it after get influenced
by someone.

We waited for 30 minutes perhaps to get our meal served. Meanwhile,
everyone was chit chatting while waiting.

Surprisingly the food portion was big when it came. I was
like “WOW! It’s time to capture1st!”

Wafu Touban Gyu Steak with Rice (Self-grilled short ribs)

It came in a set with miso soup, skewer (chicken and pork),
Idori Sushi (Salmon & Maguro) and Sushi (Ebi, Ni Hotate & Mini Tempura).

YES, for the first time I get to grill it on my own! *quite
excited*

I love the texture of the meat, chewy and flavourful. They
also served us special sauce to dip it with meat. *excellent!* The miso soup
was good, best to eat it with rice!! *my favourite*

The sushi was so fresh and delicious. However, the wasabi
served was tasteless and not spicy.

When comes to tempura, the shrimp tempura was a little
disappointed. It was soft, not chewy and covered with a lot of flour.

Passion Fruit Green Tea

It was a mixture of passion fruits and green tea. It tasted
a little sour but normal. I still prefer normal green tea.

Chocolate Ice-cream

To be honest, the texture of the ice-cream was smooth, but
the chocolate flavor in it was not strong enough. Not really my cup of
ice-cream.

Our office have organized a movie day for us and we can tag along our immediate family to join in for the Transformers 4 Age of Extinction at Pavilion on Friday night. We reached early just a walking distance and our colleagues suggested to try Watami. We have almost 10 peoples together and occupied the long tables..Watami is located at 4th Floor and this place is comfortable to dine in with ample space of the seats. Service is good and they have this set menu which is quite reasonable for two person with 5 main course from appetizer to desserts for only RM 69.80.

WA stands for Harmony and TAMI stands for People. Therefore Watami means “gather people to dine in harmony”. This is my first visit and my colleagues they have tried their set menu for few times and it was really worth it.

WATAMI Salad is highly recommended..this is something refreshing and light, served as a great appetizer. Served with chicken, shrimp and tuna mayo plus lots of fresh vegetables..topped with some fish roe too.

Gomoku kamameshi (RM21.90) is served in a traditional steel pot and cooked tableside. The rice is topped with bonito, carrot, shimeji mushrooms, tofu, root vegetables and topped with salmon, shrimp, chicken, scallops and flying fish roe. The rice was then given a good, thorough mix to ensure that the flavours are even.

The deep fried pork chop is tender and very juicy inside, outside is very crispy when you eat. The set of fried pork chop come with a lot of bean sprouts at a side. The pork chop portion is very big, it is slice to small pieces so that it is easy to eat. The pork chop serve with a grid below, so that the water vapor will not wet the pork chop. The Japanese rice is nicely cooked and nice to eat together with the pork chop also sauce that provided.

This is a famous Japanese restaurant in town, there have variety of main course and dessert that make your appetite wide open even just look at the menu. We ordered this green tea tiramisu, on top of it is full of green tea powder, the inner of it is full of cheese and also biscuit lying at the bottom. This is delicious, the combination of green tea with tiramisu cake is matching, and is not too sweet. You will have your mouth full with green tea taste after this.
