Undoubtedly, I would always splurge whenever coming to this temple. Just can’t resist from the wide varieties of food served here.As you could see, all the dishes are very fresh and still very much palatably good. Not too oily but rich in protein and nutritious.Occasionally, there are also great bakeries like the new inventive one such as the Wakame Bread, cool isn’t it?

As for me, would always try not to repeat the similar dish, unless I really like it. So this round, it would be the curry potato, dried bean curd, siu pak choy and some pickled greens. Among them, potato remains my pick for they are cooked till soft till gives it some mash texture, while the pickled greens are actually tad salty to me. Am pretty happy with the stir-fried siu pak choy, that still remain crisp and not over-cooked, with the dried bean curd is bit hard due to frying, before drenched with some sweet and sour sauce.

Rather than just having the noodles alone, you could pair it with some side dishes such as the plated dough of soya-based. It is cooked with some mushroom in soya sauce and is actually quite chewy by itself. One of the better alternative than to just eating mocked meat all the time.

Apart from the usual vegetarian dishes that you can expect, lately there has been some new addition to it, namely Organic Grape Juice. Nicely bottled in the glassware that somehow represent those of Starbucks bottled fruit juice, it could easily be a case of mistaken identity. This Pure Vitis Merlot Blend is actually fermented from fresh red grapes that are planted in California, which also belongs to this temple. It is 100% grape juice and non-alcoholic. They are under stringent procedure as they are certified annually by USDA. Initially they are massively producely for red wine business before the idea of having their own organic brand of healthy juice comes into the picture. And now, at an affordable price, one could get a hand on this smaller bottle to have a taste, before deciding to go for the much bigger content. It tastes naturally sweet and zesty. You can even mix it to make you own recipe of fruit mocktail for the healthier you. Recommended to keep it refrigerated once opened and to be consumed by 1 week.

This dish is predominantly salty, and mildly bitter - practially not sweet or sour in any way. As sweet as it gets is from the peanuts that is one of the ingredients used, which gives it a much-needed nuttiness. The tea soup is fragrant and salty, and I think this is what defines this dish.

I don't know why some people are hell-bent against vegetarian food. All this is just RM4. I never take mock meat, as it's rubbish and defeats the purpose of eating vegetarian food. These are some of my favourite picks (menu rotates, not the same thing is available daily).

Stuffed tau pok: I'm not sure what they stuff in it, but it actually tastes quite meaty (not mock meat - I know what that tastes like). Also has some parsley, which may not be taken well by some people.

Curry vegetables: spicy, softened, and actually kinda sweet too.

"Egg": I don't think this is egg. Tastes like soy sheets, with some egginess. Soft, moist. Lovely.

"Minced pork": Tastes like soft tofu and mushrooms. My favourite of them all. Really good!

This Chinese Mustard at times comes with some bitterness but is also very nutritious. Luckily this time round that is served at temple café bears no bitterness but crunchiness instead. It is cooked with other ingredients like mushroom and diced capsicums to balance off the mild flavor of pungency that this green would exude. The gravy of this vegetable is nice to be eaten with white rice.

In order to cater for more divergent modern vegetarian gourmands nowadays, the café also offer another type of roll that comes with Fried Beancurd Skin. The beancurd skin is really really very thin and flaky as well. You actually could separate it out to see the level of thinness that nearly resembles those of plastic papers, but of course, this is just a comparison of texture and still safe for consumption. Having said that, this fried snack does come with a certain level of oiliness, so you might want to use some clean absorbent tissue to get rid of the excess oil. As for the filling, it consists more or less the same filling of those normal roll, but with an augmented amoung of ginger flavor that allows you to enjoy it in each bite. So for a fan of ginger, this comes just at the right choice. And also, a piece of seaweed that is wrapped together has also spiced it up delectably. It is even much better when the whole beancurd skin is embedded with another layer of seaweed for this definitely will increase its crunchiness lusciously!

For me, this cutesy roundish pau makes a whole lot more healthy snack than the many lotus mooncakes I had recently, so thumbs up! Guess now I start to crave for some peach-shaped pinkish pau that also comes with the lotus paste

The red bean pau, being my favourite of recent years, seems a good try over here. The paste is made of blended red bean that resulted in a smooth and natural sweetness of the bean. At least I know it’s made of real beans instead of synthetic flavouring. The twisted dough is fluffy and the reddish paste is also finely tickling the taste bud.
