Located in the heart of Bandar Sunway, Underground Societe earns a measure of respect with their great food and coffee. This was my second visit at Underground Societe. Again, we were welcomed extra-friendly service. Loud applause to their really nice staff.Expect both contemporary and classic creations, my favourite is probably the Grilled New Zealand Lamb Rack with Mint Crust with Asparagus, Roasted Pumpkin, Broccoli, Beetroot, Sauteed Herb Potatoes & Robert Sauce. Lamb rack was surprisingly delicious as it was cooked to perfection. Just nice enough to my liking.Slipper Lobster Aglio Olio with Asparagus & Chili Flakes! Reached just in time after I finished my first dish! Not the usual pasta but with lobster! Best combination ever!One of the best seller! Cold-brew coffee on tap. With a layer of creamy foam on top, it tasted more like a beer to me. OMG it was really bitter.It can be pricey for some, yes, but overall the quality speaks for itself. Can order for sharing, the portion is big. All in all, it’s worth visiting. This is a place where you have a very good food and atmosphere.

Underground Societe has two menus for set lunch, which they alternate them occasionally. This Tuesday, they had “Pan Fry Dory + Mashed Potato + Hollandaise Sauce + Salad” as set lunch. The set lunch comes with a glass of juice and it costs RM10, inclusive the 6% GST. Customer can choose either Orange or Apple juice.We were the only customers in the shop when we arrived. Hence, the waiting time for our food wasn’t that long.For RM10, the portion of the pan fry dory given was relatively small and the salad given wasn’t really considered as salad… It was just a piece of the red leaf lettuce. Perhaps they should give a few more? To qualify it as “salad”..However, they were not stingy with their hollandaise sauce. We were given extra sauce whenever we asked for it.Despite the small portions of the pan fry dory, the meal was quite filling. This is because they also gave a very big portion of mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes weren’t the powdered form of mashed potatoes. Cafe that located at the back of Garage 51 and it is also the owner of Garage 51. However, both cafe serves quite different food. So far, the only difference is that this Underground societe opens on Monday while Garage 51 off on that day. I like their environment there. It feels like they customize this cafe solely for college and university students to have a peaceful environment studying or doing assignment. I ordered their set lunch, spaghetti served with fried chicken and I find it decent. I find their cake tempting and I will definitely visit again to try out their cakes.
