Uncle Lim’s Café is our place to go for lunch whenever my partner and I wants to watch a movie at Subang Parade. They serve relatively good quality food and the environment of the café is fairly clean and comfortable. It is an open air café situated in the centre of the ground floor of the mall, thus it will be quite easy to spot.My partner ordered the fish porridge as he was feeling under the weather and the aroma of the fish porridge was really good. The portion was quite big too and the taste was fresh and sweet. My partner loves their porridge very much.As for me, I ordered their assam laksa, which was surprisingly quite food. The spiciness and sourness and sweetness was quite well balanced but I prefer it to be more spicy and sour. The flavour was great and I could find lots of fish in my bowl of assam laksa.Overall it was a satisfying and comfort meal and I wouldn’t stop myself from going there! continue reading

Uncle Lim's Cafe is located at Ground Floor of Subang Parade. It is a modernize kopitiam which still preserve its old charm, that can take us into the future instead of fading away into oblivion. The environment is nice and comfortable. It serves traditional breakfast such as Coffee, Tea, Toast, Half Boiled Eggs, Nasi Lemak(chicken/beef), Otak-otak, Laksa, Asam Laksa, Chicken Porridge, Mushroom Mee, Wantan Soup, Chicken Chop...etc. After lunch at Nando, I passed by this cafe, which has decided to try out their snack. I have bought Kaya Puff. The skin of the pastry is crispy and the kaya paste inside is really aromatic, rich with pandan and coconut milk flavour. The puff is really tasty and it would be great it you have another cup of coffee. continue reading

On a warm day, this beverage is actually quite refreshing. The soya cincau (grass jelly) ice in Uncle Lim's cafe is given a generous amount of grass jelly. The grass jelly here is the thin and long type, which can be easily sucked out by a regular sized straw. The soya drink is quite sweet and it has a delicious soya aroma to it. There is also a lot of ice in this drink, which makes it very cold and nice to drink as long as most of the ice have not melted to dilute the drink. This drink costs RM3.50+. continue reading

continue reading

I like to eat nasi lemak. A good nasi lemak, you able to smell the strong fragrance of coconut milk, a little bit spicy sambal. I can find that at Uncle Lim. The peanut and anchovies here are very crunchy. The rendang sauce here is very thick. It doesn't need to be spicy. It has the strong fragrance of rendang. Smell it itself is good enough to brings up your appetite. The sambal here is sweet. Chicken meat is totally tender and soft from inside out. continue reading
