On the site, found that uncle chong got promotion,I and my family go there for a dinner,I order Grill Stingray in Portuguese Style 葡萄牙式烤鱼found that the taste is so so only the fish grill until the skin too keras...my family member order other dish, the taste also categories so so.But the price a bit expensive.. continue reading

Just had dinner at the restaurant, no doubt the curry mee is good but the other food I ordered from the menu is really....really.....bad!! First of all, the Belachan Fried Rice had no belachan taste at all, just a normal fried rice with green peas, egg, fishcake & bits of shrimp. Secondly, the Herbal Chicken on the special menu was served cold and had traces of blood on its chicken meat, my daughter pushed away this dish even though she used to love herbal chicken. I complained to the boss, he said the chef forgotten to reheat the dish........forgot??? Can this supposed to happen??? The I told him the traces of blood, the boss denied about that saying it is not blood! Come on....I'm not a 4 years old child!! The dish was brought in to be reheated ONLY!!!! The food was left half unfinished, my daughter felt nausea seeing the disgusting dish!! Maybe this is a NORM in Uncle Chong's Kitchen, complains from customers unimportant at all!! continue reading

Rich in thick creamy curry gravy, Uncle Chong’s Curry Laksa was served together with chickens, tau fu pok (bean curd), and fresh cockles.I like their yellow noodle that has very minimal alkaline taste (lye water or kansui). According to Mr Chong, they get their noodle supplies from a small factory that can customize and has good control in the food products’ stable quality.One of the popular dishes here is their Uncle Chong’s Nasi Lemak Special, which served together with curry chicken, spicy prawns, and sambal tumis at the side.The rice was not too ‘lemak’ for my taste buds, but according to the chef, their regular customers requested to cut down little bit the ‘lemak’ taste to balance up with the 3 different spicy sides that were already rich in santan flavor. continue reading

这里的Asam Laksa味道可以说是蛮不错,喜欢吃酸辣的朋友,在这里有冷气设备的环境下,吃过之后也不觉得满身大汗,环境舒适,食物也有好几种让你选择,而且这儿也是新盖好不久的建筑大楼,楼里的商店蛮多,目前的parking也是免费,还好 Uncle Chong's Kitchen 是在楼下,在路边也可以直接看的见,是午餐的好去处。至于价钱方面也是大众化,上班一族只有一小时用餐的你,也可以考虑到此试试咯。! continue reading

食过返寻味~~~Makan Ventures过后几天,带着老婆孩子,我们又到了Uncle Chong's Kitchen享用午餐。老婆想再试试Nasi Lemak,我也对那椰味扬州炒饭情有独钟。另外,我们还点了这道星洲米粉。这星洲米粉真的很好料很多料。里面有虾仁、sotong、鸡肉、比较多的洋葱、芽菜、还有韭菜和辣椒丝。想说Uncle Chong炒面食真的很有一手!米粉口感适中,最重要!一点都不油腻,而且味道很正!!现在想起都垂涎呢!! continue reading
