Tong Pak Fu (Closed)

Durian Snow Ice was served with grass jelly cubes and some pulps too. The durian snow ice was not just plain shaved ice, it was made from the durian juice, exerted strong pungent smell of a durian. It was also fragrant due to the addition of skimmed milk in it. The grass jelly cubes were smooth and solid in texture. The pulps juice burst in my mouth while biting it. A very refreshing dessert.

Glutinous Rice Ball. Six pearl color glutinous rice ball was served with a stack of black sesame beside. The glutinous rice balls were soft and smooth. These rice balls were chewy and not sticky at all. It does not stick to your teeth while biting it. The black sesame added further flavour to the plain rice balls. The black sesame contained some crunchy nuts too. With some dipping into this black sesame, it was very tasty.

Went for KLCC Craving for food and window shopping last 2 Saturday. Passed by the Tong Pak Fu Hong Kong Dessert Store located inside KLCC which nearby uniqlo and isetan, and yet we decide to try out the dessert for this branches.The store set up not really big with few round tables and small lounge chairs.. with sharp color of wall paint as background, just simple set up on bar counter and cashier. We had ordered their best seller Chilled Mango Sago Creme with Pomelo 杨枝甘露 and Mango Snow Ice 芒果秋香

After a whole day of chilling weather, what’s better more to pamper yourself other than with some humble warm deserts?Here at Tong Pak Fu outlet, located at Suria KLCC, just got want you may desire.Apart from their vibrant table settings of pink, blue and green colors, it does have a very bright lighting as well. Walnut CreamI was pondering between black sesame or this walnut cream. Eventually I chose the latter for I think I would like to enrich myself more with the essence of walnut wonders!

The picture above is the durian ice shaved from Tong Pak Fu. The pungent smell of the durian was what met my nose when the staff began shaving the ice. It was very creamy and smooth as you can scoop up the layers easily. The durian was very strong and made my throat very dry after eating this ice shaved. I love Tong Pak Fu's dessert as they would customize the taste based on the preference of the local palate.

Tong Pak Fu is running a daily promotion whereby you can get different flavors on certain days for only RM5. The picture above is the milk ice shaved which you can get for RM 5 on Monday’s. The ice shaved had condensed milk on top which made it exceptionally sweet. The ice shaved was smooth and had a watered down creamy taste to it. The side condiments that came along with it was nothing to shout about and just complemented the milk ice shaved.

Last week i went to Tong Pak Fu to have dessert. This is their coffee snow ice. The coffee snow ice is rich coffee flavor, soft and cool. It comes with some side toppings like red bean, jelly, strawberry and some QQ ball. The presentation is good and and comes in quite a big portion. It's quite nice and cool for a hot day like this. The restaurant environment is also good, having some good time there.

This is the Tong Pak Foo at KLCC Shopping Centre.Tong Pak Foo is a chain restaurant that served differenttypes of Hong Kong and Taiwan dessert. This is the chocolate shaved ice. I like this so much, the shaved iceis full with the taste of chocolate. And as you can see, the portion is actually so big. This shaved ice come with red bean and strawberry as the topping.The strawberry is fresh and the red bean is tasty too. This is reallyworth it for this price.

Hee, talking about black sesame, it is my favorite. It was my first time trying hot dessert at Tong Pak Fu. The density of black sesame cream was good. I love my black sesame thick yet smooth. This had the balance of both. I could taste the strong black sesame flavor in it and like it that way. However it was a little too much after a rather filling meal.

Mung Bean is known as green bean. So basically this is a green bean tong sui. Personally I like green bean tong sui but not my favorite. This mung bean cream was bitter due to the use of mandarin skin peel. It tasted so awful and stole the limelight from mung bean itself. The texture was smooth but the taste was just too bad to finish.

I went to KLCC Tong Pak Fu before and try to having my high tea there I love this mango dessert that call Mango Napoleon with Vanila Ice-cream. This dessert use the crispy biscuit sandwiched the cream and fresh mango. This perfect match let me have two different taste when bite it in my mouth =) You will feel rich of the fresh mango taste in your mouth.

full house doesn't mean they served luscious dessert. it could be the limited space and table in the shop mislead us.* both are categories as best seller, but i didn't seen any. However, western dessert seems will attracting me back to have a try in future.

Sometimes, a good dessert doesn't require a whole lot of imagination to create. Shaved chocolate ice, folded in discrete layers (as Tong Pak Fu always does best) with some banana and other jelly-esque bits.The chocolate flavour is deep and rich, somewhat like Milo from the Milo truck. Slices of banana act as a base and is an obvious complement to the chocolate. Slow-melting ice makes it a joy to savour at a semi-leisurely pace.

Oh dear! Probably the only thing I actually totally disliked at Tong Pak Fu. The mung bean cream dessert tasted a little too natural (natural flavours is their ideology). It is not sufficiently sweetened, and had too much dried orange peel that it tasted like beans and orange peel only.Texture was thick enough, but without the sweetness and the right balance, it just felt like I was eating mashed boiled green beans. Not salty, not sweet, just... weird.I didn't even finish this dessert.
