Tong Pak Fu (Closed)

上个月可以说是榴莲的天下，到处都是榴莲飘香还有卖榴莲的小贩。抵挡不住诱惑的我当然也忍不住吃了很多榴莲。糖百府著名地榴莲刨冰我也略有所闻，既然来到也不妨一试。这里刨冰绵密的口感是我从来也没有吃过的。值得一赞的是，我特别喜爱这里的凉粉，吃起来不会好像一般感觉上加了很多水的凉粉。我吃到的是一种扎实的口感。但毕竟自己十榴莲的忠实粉丝，对于冰制品还是和真正的榴莲有一段距离。

Pink Guava snow ice was topped with some syrup alongside some condiments. The snow ice was soft and full of pink guava flavour. It was fluffy too. The smell of pink guava was aromatic. The small pulps were crunchy and chewy while the bigger pulps had juice burst in my mouth. As a whole, it has a cooling sensation. The syrup added further sweetness to this dessert.

Keep thinking of Tong Pak Fu's dessert after my first try last few weeks. Mango Sago cream with pomelo @ RM8.80This is one of my favourite HK dessert, canton-i restaurant has it but is not as good as this. The servicing is quite big in a bowl with many mango cubes, plenty of sago and pomelo, and the coconut with mango puree. The mango taste is so strong and very aromatic. I seldom drink horlick but i dont resist horlick However, when i tried this horlick snow ice, i start hate horlick. the taste of horlick is too too bad when merge together with ice. You rather dont try this if you are not a super horlick lover. Chocolate Lava Cake w Ice Cream @ RM12.80All the cake selection in Tong Pak Fu will need an extra 15mins of waiting time. I would understand since the chocolate lava needs to be warmed up. It is served with vanilla ice cream and a half piece of strawberry. A little disappointed that the chocolate cake is hard like stone at the top part. Probably is over ''microwaved''. But luckily the bottom part is moist enough to have the effect of chocolate lava.

Tong Pak Fu is serving all kinds of hot and cold deserts which originally from Hong Kong. The spokesperson is one of the top food program host - So Sze Wong.Mango w Red Bean 芒果红豆 @ RM8.80The dessert can be served in Cup or Bowl. It comes with lots of sago pearls and red bean hidden below and toppings are cubes of mangos and a layer of coconut cream. This is simply nice and cooling. The red beans are sweet enough to balance up the mango puree that is not very sweet.

Snow Ice, i think everyone of u know what is snow ice so i no need to further explain what this is. Well, this is black sesame snow ice.I am a black sesame lover so i like this but i warn those who not really like black sesame please do not order this. If not, i am sure u will regret. I am in love with Tong Bak Fu. It has been blooming to many places to try the Tong Bak Fu and it is indeed one of my favorite desserts NOW. I am crazy of desserts and I wanna have it more and more and more. Tong Bak Fu is originated from Hong Kong and now I can have it in Malaysia. Have noticed this shop a while ago from the Ah So standee in front and been there few times to eat their dessert. Generally, I like their cold stuffs more to the hot ones. After trying the black sesame snow ice (a few visits ago) that I thought tasted like ash, I decided to give black sesame a second chance at Tong Pak Fu - this time, in the form of their tong sui. I love Tong Pak Fu's snow ice desserts. The texture of the ice is like the ice is layered in many distinct folds. Cutting through the ice with your spoon is like cutting through layers of lasagna. Their D24 durian snow ice tastes very much like durian - it's almost as if it's frozen durian and not ice. It's still creamy as it melts in your mouth. I just didn't think the starchy pearls and the grass jelly went well with it, though - seemed a little out of place.
