Black sesame balls at Tong Pak Fu are quite a good snack to complement their range of desserts. Very chewy and glutinous, with lovely sweet crushed peanuts inside. The glutinous shell is meant for sticking extra nutty "powder" that comes together with this snack.

The fish balls were bouncy and course, pretty much standard issue; but the curry was hot and aromatic. Strong notes of turmeric and curry powder; and thick - sticks well to the coarse fish balls. Seems a little out of place at a dessert shop, but it is a very Hong Kong thing and would make for a great snack. I still think this belongs somewhere more accessible to post-party crowds instead.

I went the new open Paradigm Mall last Sunday. I can't to control myself go Tong Pak Fu have a high tea because their desserts are so nice and can let me have a good feeling whole a day. This time i try this Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanila Ice-cream. This cake give me a big surprised when i am slitting it because rich of chocolate flow out. It is a nice dessert for a people who like sweet dessert and chocolate so much =)

Tong Pak Fu outlet is only a month old in this new Paradigm Mall. It is very brightly-lit and people from all directions can notice this outlet in the centre of the mall. The place is, however, quite small and gets crowded very fast during tea breaks. This is the first Tong Pak Fu with open concept, others are tucked neatly in a restaurant lot. Strawberry Napoleon with Vanilla Ice-Cream (士多啤梨拿破仑配云呢拿雪糕) @ RM10.80

Each thin, crispy waffle is layered with lightly sweet cream. A bite of this delight with a spoonful of ice cream is simply heavenly! I'm surprised to find such thin layer of waffle and the fruit is quite fresh there. When mixed with the ice cream, it gives a melt-in-the-mouth feel which I enjoy very much. Light and not so sweet, delicious!
