Went outing with friends at Bangsar Village II and stopped by at Artisan Coffee to have a tea break. Chupp~ I’m not writing a review about Artisan Coffee >< I am writing a review about Malaysia best ice cream in town, The Last Polka. The founders of The Last Polka were Malaysian. They combined Asian flavour in French- style ice cream. The Last Polka has gained some popularity due to their unique ice cream flavours. We ordered their famous ice cream such as Horlicks, Salted Gula Melaka and Pandan Kaya. We also had Strawberry Cream Cheese and Deep Dark Chocolate. I will tell you their flavour and taste one by one~Horlicks- I’m not a fans of Horlicks but this is really awesome. You can taste the pure Horlicks!Salted Gula Melaka- The combination of sweet and salty taste~ One word, Fantastic!Pandan Kaya- A thin layer of Kaya on the Pandan Ice Cream. For me, is a bit sweet but I’m still liking it~Strawberry Cream Cheese- A rich cream cheese Ice cream with Strawberry flavour. not bad lo~Deep Dark Chocolate- Chocolate is been my favourite flavour. This ice cream definitely nailed it!Overall, it is a unique and delicious Ice Cream~ They also make some crazier flavours such as Guinness stout or the Kuah Jenhan inspired by celebrity. The price is reasonable~Price: 7/10Food: 7.5/10Verdict: If you are adventurous enough, try their crazy flavours! continue reading

Nutella is not only the unique ice-cream flavour sold at the last polka. Some of the bizarre flavours I have seen or tasted here is the French toast, Guinness, strawberry cake and salted gula Melaka. The salted gula Melaka reminded me of salted caramel from Cielo Dolci except that the gula Melaka leaves a bittersweet aftertaste on the tongue. The Guinness is also quite unique as it tasted exactly like the draught. continue reading

Although this place has closed down, fret not as you can still find other cafes such as Whisk and The Bee serving various flavours of The Last Polka ice cream.I chose Nutella flavour as I heard a lot of good comments and reviews about it. It is very rich in Nutella flavour, Nutella lovers will love this very much. The ice cream texture is smooth, creamy and dense, almost up to par with those premium ice creams around continue reading
