I just finished working and my friend ask me to go to ioi mall to buy things for her Africa trip. So i drove all the way  there despite all the jamn just to accompany a good friend of mine (sweet aite? hihi) . So i would like to have my dinner first before we start all the shopping.Teh tarik place is not just a simple teh tarik shop and definitely not a mamak stall. Teh Tarik Place is a basic re-evaluation of the beloved neighborhood Mamak restaurant. With the clean interiors, contemporary setting, cozy and laid-back ambiance Teh Tarik Place is the ideal place for people from all walks of life to unwind and gather together with friends and family for a cuppa and a bite. We start of early with some Malaysian delights there where we had a Roti Bakar Butter & Kaya. The roti bakar is well-toasted with the fragrant butter and kaya and its delight is indeed well

First off,what I like about this particular Teh Tarik Place outlet is its' location. Located right next to the cinema at the uppermost floor of IOI Mall, it actually faces the abandoned mining lake.. meaning there's alfresco seating with nice views of the lake.. Which I like, as it's a nice change having your Roti or Mee Goreng Mamak whilst sipping a Teh Tarik and watch the sun sets over the horizon. Nice Prices are slightly higher than your regular Mamak but tastes just as good. My favorites'

This would be the first air conditioned restaurant inside shopping mall that serves mamak style roti such as roti canai, roti telur, roti sardine, bawang, tosai and others. Expect to pay around double the price. I ordered the roti telur as it is one of my favourites besides roti pisang. While the roti is slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy pulling in the inside, I thought that it was a little oily. Nevertheless, roti with egg is a good match so the taste can't go any further than that.

This is one of my favourite Malay style fried rice, as I love the addition of kangkung vegetables and fried anchovies (ikan bilis) giving a very 'kampung' feeling. Here, other ingredients such and chicken and egg certainly added extra flavour, complementing the well separated fluffy rice. It was well seasoned too, with additional spices that is specially used to whip up this dish. It is the special aroma from the spice that made me fell in love with this dish. Some keropok pieces were served too

Since we are there for movie before dinner time, we decided to fill our stomach here since it is near the cinema hence convenient for us. Inside the mee goreng mamak is bean sprouts, egg, chicken, tofu and yellow noodles. It was not too dry with nicely executed noodles, retaining its little QQ texture. I also like the spiciness level, not toos spicy for me but just right.
