Nasi goreng kampung is another local dishes. The price for the nasi goreng kampung in this place is RM7.70. The nasi goreng was fried and seasoned with salt and pepper. The fried rice was fluffy and the aroma of the fried egg was nice. There were a few prawn crackers but they weren't exactly nice. The prawn crackers were oily and too thick. They also tasted very fishy. Some cucumber and shredded lettuce accompanied the rice.

Teh Tarik Place will of course sell our most wanted malaysian food, the nasi lemak. The nasi lemak here is very big portion. This is a nasi lemak biasa, meaning the dish has no other meats besides all the basic stuffs you would get from the nasi lemak. There were cucumber, peanuts, fried anchovies, hard boiled egg, and the spicy sambal. The rice was aromatic and fluffy.

Teh Tarik Place is a place where you will find your local mamak dishes such as nasi lemak, mee goreng, roti canai and teh tarik. This one here is known as the mee goreng mamak. The mee goreng mamak is a simple fry noodle dish. There were shredded cabbage, beansprouts, cucumber slices and shrimps. the ingredients are not a lot, but again, this is mamak style. Don't expect too much. Taste wise, it was ok.

In the place which names itself so casually, what else to order besides what they claim to be the place for? I was meeting up a friend whom I have not met in person. Instead of ordering something else, I decided I should try their teh tarik first. I found it less sweet than the normal mamak place. However it left my tongue dry after awhile. At the bottom of my glass, I saw powder floating. I wonder are there any place serving non powder made teh tarik?

What’s your best Roti Canai? The best Roti Canai I ever had is available at Teh Tarik Place. The dough is stretched thinly; the roti crispy, and not oily. The roti is thin, fluffy on the inside and crispy and flaky on the outside. It comes together with 3 sauces; sambal, dhal, and fish curry sauce. Normal roti Canai are available anywhere, with a strong tasting flour dough. Normal roti Canai are available anywhere, with a strong tasting flour dough. However the recipe here differs; as the dough doesn’t make us just taste the flour, but overall, the taste leaves you craving for more.

Unfortunately, in order to enjoy this Roti Canai, I needed to wait for long time for them to serve, about a 20 minute wait. But it’s worth it. Hehehe.

Ordinarily we eat roti canai at the mamak stall, but at Teh Tarik Place, a high class air-conditioned mamak, the pricing will be a bit expensive compare to elsewhere.

Of cause, they are not just selling roti canai; there are also other varieties of foods.
Now, I am sick for it …… oh no! Mouth-watering looooo

Not only was I attracted to the Roti Canai, but also the staff’s uniform. It’s just normal round neck white t-shirt, but printed with various foods’ name in front, like, Roti Canai, Teh Tarik, Nasi Lemak, and more. It’s cute!!

The price for a plain roti canai with a glass of teh tarik is about RM5+- after the taxes.
