I must give credits to the claypot curry fish head at this place. The curry tasted really nice and fragrant with not too rich with coconut milk flavors. I normally dislike curry with heavy coconut milk based, but this one is just nice. The other condiments were also abundance, such as brinjals, French beans, dry beancurd, and not to forget the fish head and fish fillets. Normally fish heads are not meaty, therefore, fish fillet will be added. Otherwise, consumers will feel unjustified. The claypot keeps the heat of the dish and it was really good to eat with plain rice. continue reading

When I saw this dish on the menu displayed on the stall, I was attracted by its name in Mandarin. It's called 北菇滑鸡面. I waited for quite some time for this noodle and I thought it shouldn't take that long to prepare such a simple order considering that all ingredients have been cooked beforehand. The noodles were somewhat similar to wantan noodles; springy and thin. However, it's too oily due to the sauce that the noodles were immersed in. I got mushrooms, chinese dried sausages and a few pieces of chicken. These chicken pieces were steamed for a long time and they appeared to be very tender and easy to be chewed on. Overall, this dish was just ok but it wouldn't be on my list in future. continue reading
