不知道有没有人像我一样，去到一些不熟悉的地方时，会用一些美食搜索的手机应用程式来找当地的美食呢？八打灵 SS2 对我来说虽然不算是很陌生的地方，但是每次来来去去总是会到一样的餐厅用餐。为了发掘更多不一样的美食，这一天我在往 SS2 的路上，打开 Opensnap，用了15分钟来搜索及阅读其他人的食评，锁定了在网上有高评价，但是我从来都没注意到的 - 天品雅厨。天品雅厨在 SS2 商圈的对面街，招牌不是特别显眼，也难怪我好像从来都没注意到它的存在。周末下午四点多，明显不是正常的用餐时间，但是店里的顾客也不少，我想这里应该还不错吧～天品面卜 - RM7根据网友的推荐，这里最受欢迎的就是 mee bok 了。Mee bok 直译为面卜，是潮州人的传统面食。面条扁细，配上肉碎和酱料干拌，吃起来有猪油的香气，很邪恶的美食啊！其实原本上面还有不少晶莹剔透的猪油渣，还好我的定力够，猪油渣全都被我挑出来放一边了，要不然胆固醇肯定超标啦！不过话说回头，网友推荐的 mee bok 真的不错！而且附上的一小碗汤也很清甜可口，店里有不少鱼丸鱼饼之类的料理，所以汤头应该是用了大量的鱼骨来熬的吧！炒鱼面猪肠粉 -

Tang Pin offers its signature Mee Pok. The taste of this mee pok is very standard, quite nice but it is a little bit small. I think the main point is not the noodles, but the fish cake. The fish cakes slides are really really tasty. I love the taste very much. -

This is Fried Porridge. They only offer the porridge for 2 people portion. So if you are alone, better don't order this. The porridge is not white but brown. It tastes quite good as well. Especially the fish cake inside the porridge, makes the porridge taste VERY GOOD.

在天品雅厨除了吃多种选择面食，你可品尝这里的三色奶茶，荼香顺滑与普通的奶茶不同之处有三种颜色，蛮好看又好喝。底部的一层奶白色是淡奶，中间是西茶而顶部有一层像云朵，给人感觉软绵绵。搅拌后慢慢去品尝很不错，再配上松软圆粒面包内挟冷冻牛油和 Kaya ，很棒的一份早餐或下午茶。

Besides noodles/ rice there, Tang Pin Kitchen does serve unique drink like Pineapple Lemon Water. It is clear base like normal water but when you drink it, it is sweet and the taste of pineapple is so strong where it actually does covered up some favors from lemon. If you do like pineapple so much, this light appetizing drink with several pieces of pineapple is for you.

Golden noodle is one of their signature food. Golden noodles came with minced pork, fried pork lard, fried fish cakes, pouched egg and sprinkled with spring onions. It tastes good like the dry pan mee at other shop but in Tang Pin, they do put big fish cakes that is yummy for me. Noodles are not the normal yellow noodles, it is handmade noodles that tasted much better in term of texture and smell.

This is something unique for me! I find it nice and that it is fried with fish paste noodles (those that you can see in steambot restaurant). To my surprised, this tasted real good. Texture wise the fish paste noodles is so chewy! It was fried with bean sprouts, spring onions, garlic and fish paste noodles and chee cheong fan! Special enough and taste wise, it tasted like ordinary fried kuey teow but nicer.

这里的甜品的选择还蛮多，这一款是他们的红豆沙，有加了椰浆的，如果不喜欢椰浆的人也是可以要求不要添加椰浆的。红豆沙的味道喝起来非常的浓郁，口感沙沙的，喝起来甜而不腻。

这是这里的冬瓜罗汉果雪耳糖水。这一款糖水喝起来的味道非常的棒。它的味道不是甜味而已，还有带点甘苦味。喝起来是有层次感的。糖水里的雪耳，冬瓜的分量也很多，令人满意。

这是天品雅厨的面条，面条的口感是不错的，吃起来的时候非常有嚼劲。面里有许多的肉碎作为配料，还有一些葱花。他们的这一款面就是要配着他们的鱼饼吃，鱼饼也是非常弹牙的。

I wanted to try their fish cake, tau kan and fu chuk set, but I know that I will not be able to finish it. Feeling greedy, I decided to order anyways, and tapau the leftovers if I cannot manage any more. The set came fairly quickly, and it was quite a huge portion. A whole piece of fishcake, cut into thin pieces, was juicy and delectable. The fu chuk roll had a generous amount of fish paste in it, fresh and delicious. Feeling lonely because wifey had to work over the weekend, I decided to wander around SS2 to see what choices were there for lunch. I stepped in Tang Pin Kitchen, and was surprised to see that the food was very similar to Tang House of Fishball. Seems that they were sister companies. So I sat down, and ordered a signature laksa, since it was proclaimed that it is a new offering. The laksa came, full of aroma. The noodles used were bee hoon, and it was done well, not too soft. Cincau Ice. It was a Sunday afternoon peak lunch time hour, and we came in a big group. The restaurant was full house and we had to wait a while for available seats. We were seated outside which was very hot. I do not prefer hot dining environment. The cincau ice was a standard one. The cincau portion was a lot and soft as well as smooth. It was slightly sweet, which was fine.

Golden Noodle. Well, apart from its famous hakka mee pok, it does offers other variety of noodles. This golden noodle is one of the variety. It came with minced meat, spring onions, pork lards, fish cake and sort of sunny side up egg. I broke open the egg yolk and mixed with the noodle. The whole noodle was moist and sticky due to the egg yolk. It has just the right taste.

Soya Cincau. It is quite challenging to find a parking space along the main road of this Tang Pin Kitchen, we had to park at the row of shops behind and walked through the alley. The soya cincau was a normal drink, basically it was the soya bean with cincau in it. The soya bean was slightly sweet, which was good for me as I do not prefer the tasteless soya bean. Not bad.
