Japanese food is something the mom & myself enjoy having from time to time. Since I had recently gotten my salary, I decided to treat her to a nice meal and it was no surprise that she suggested going to Sushi Zanmai. It had over time become one of her top 5 place to go to for good and afforable sushi. It was a little over dinner time when we arrived so the place was not super packed which was something we preferred. The smoked salmon here is decent - salty, relatively fresh, and you can taste the slight smokiness. Unfortunately, the salad is terribly boring - just cucumbers, iceberg lettuce, and tomato wedges. That's mostly flavourless. Adulterated further with thousand-islands sauce.

I am a big fans of Sushi Zanmai and this time being in Sushi Zanmai alone, I prefered to try some of the things i don usually have. Soft Shell Crab Okonomi here is simply delighting. It is simply a special meal which the soft shell crab serving is looks like pizza which is with cheese. Is a special meal indeed. well made with the thin crust and the fresh softshell crab is amazingly good..

This Agedashi tofu topped with Unagi is not superbly impressive but it is not commonly served this way in most Japanese chains or restaurants. I do feel that the combination didn’t complement each other in any way. They were lovely to be enjoyed separately as its own but not together as one dish. The tofu has always been my favourite and is sometimes a great dish when you have kids with you due to the soft texture of it as well as the light flavour of the dish.

Sashimo is this tiny pregnant fish that is simple grilled to perfect and served with a wedge of lemon to bring out the flaovur of the fish and well as adding the flavour of sweetness to this dish. The fish eggs in these fish are normally packed and because the fishes are really small, the bones are almost harmless and edible. Most Japanese Sushi restaurant franchise in Malaysia often offers new menu almost every other month and that sometimes impresses me a lot. Zanmai sushi has got many outlets and they all have long queues. At times, I do feel that it is somewhat a little unacceptable to have to line up just to have a meal you ought to pay. To avoid all that, I recommend the One Mont Kiara outlet as that would be the outlet where there are more seats, and at the same time not having to line up most of the time. try the sushi maki in sushi zanmai i always love to come to dine in at sushi zanmai for their price is really cheap and tasty then those in sushi king and also the sakae sushi much better quality then this two places. the sushi is well wrapped and the fried soft sheel maki is tasty and big portion have the serving of the 5 pieces and add with the wasabi is really great dish for my lunch here

visited sushi zanmai and nice place to dine in here. the sushi here is all well wrapped and prepared fresh at the counter and good service too in this outlet in mont kiara. the japanesep potato is good to order especially for kids and the serving is hot when they come on the table. taste crispy on the outside and soft in the inside with the sweet potatoes. good to have it with the mustard sauce

Ordered a tempura udon, chicken gyoza, ocha and strawberry parfait. Turns out the chicken gyoza is slightly burnt - that's okay, I can deal with it. Came here for dinner with my family. Ordered something tasty. We shared it together and the sauce was ok. Yummy food with a warm environment which we love to visit here again and again. Always fight with my brother when comes to 1 last piece on the plate. Somehow, he'll just give up and let me have it. Love the family bonding time and enjoying the dishes we ordered.

Zanmai fest with my colleague for lunch. Ordered this to shared with them and having some bonding time. Chit chating and also enjoying the meals is just awesome. Love to dine in Zanmai as the food here is just tasty. The food served are totally tasty and fresh and different from other sushi restaurant. Love to have my dining moment with people around me in Zanmai. Love the food as it served freshly and tasty!

很喜欢 sushi zanmai 的咖哩饭。因为它的咖哩很香（虽然有时会比较咸），但是我都是白吃不厌。还有sushi zanmai 的饭。我对饭，其实蛮有研究的。sushi zanmai 用的饭，应该不是盖的。真的很香。所以，香香的咖喱，配上香香的饭，真的是一流！

This used to be one of my staple lunch in Mont Kiara. For a small bowl, it cost only RM8.80 but it's filling and it's quality food.
