Plus the line there is not as bad and the staff are always very attentive. Furthermore no waitress or waiter ever looked displeased to be working there which puts me as a diner in a pleasant mood. So I looked forward to ordering and eating once I sit down and offered a menu.

My very first order is always going to be Ebikko. Particularly two orders of this all for myself which I can finish with ease. And Sushi Tei is never stingy with the toppings, plus I can tell that this is made to order by how crisp the seaweed is wrapped around the soft rice.

This to me is an absolute plus point for this restaurant unlike some that usually picks up the same order off the conveyor belt even though I ordered it from the kitchen.

California Maki is also a favourite of mine. I like the filling as it has crab stick, avocado, tamago, cucumber and perhaps a radish. All of it wrapped tightly in a roll that is smothered in ebikko. So all of my favourite thing in one roll and I ate all six pieces myself.

Another favourite of mine is the Salmon Mentai. This is really quite indulgent because the mayo and mentaiko sauce on top of the sashimi is really amazing, especially when it's just lightly torched. Putting this in your mouth with a touch of wasabi and soya sauce gives you a burst of flavour. The salmon is always fresh tasting and the rice is nice without being too hard or cold. Perfect bite!

Soft Shell Crab Temaki is also another must order of mine. The crab was nice and crispy, fresh out of the fryer with how hot it was. Although I was already pretty full already after eating all the other sushi that I ordered, being greedy, I still finished this easily as it wasn't soggy tasting or anything like that.

It's clear that Sushi Tei is a pretty good place to go to for your sushi fix without breaking too much of your budget. Their food is fresh and tastes amazing, plus the service is also better than a whole lot of other places.

In Klang Valley, they have 3 shops which is in Mid Valley, Tropicana City Mall as well as Pavillion....Sushi Tei is no ordinaire Japanese dining restaurant, which they believe in providing an ethereal with an alluring ambience more than a dining experience just for the customers by setting it apart from the norm. From what I've seen, Sushi Tei is suitable for family, friends, couples and also casual dining.

As with many Japanese restaurants, Sushi Tei also provides for seasonal themed menus apart from the staple favourites and signatures that they are known for. The seasonal offerings coincide with Japan’s seasons of change and the ingredients that comes with it, Salmon harvesting season, Autumn’s special the coldest season, Aburi Spring season special, etc.

With their cozy interior design which is quite comfortable to enjoy your good meal as me and my friends were chatting quite long after the meal as it sn’t feel like we need to be hurry===>Their menu is not much different from Sushi Zanmai but of course they do have a few signature rolls here.....

Three outlets in Klang Valley now, and still going strong. I foresee the race to come down to Sushi Tei vs Sushi Zanmai soon enough, this chain of sushi outlets deserve an accolade in the sense that they originated from Singapore, and have branches even in China, Indonesia and Australia. International flavours no less, and Sushi Tei strives to attain the prized notch above the rest of the competition.

Dai Dai Roll (its a bit expensive but worth to give a try on it)

Fresh Salmon on top of wraping rice with mango inside and some greenish sauce (mixtures of wasabi and soy sauce) SWEET~~~Every ingredients did well to satisfy my stomach.

Moreover, the price is also reasonable for the quality of the good. Overall, this restaurant is worth the visit for great Japanese food.service is quite ok too here so will come back for more.

Sushi Tei’s Signature Yu Seng (S) RM16.80 is straighly for 2 pax (it was 1-3pax in their menu but it is never enough). Salmon is generously sliced and the yu sheng ingredients looks good and fresh. Served cold – another plus point. We’re given a pack of ‘pok pok chui’ or crispy crackers and it really filled up the plate. I guess Sushi Tei should consider the balance of the portion as well. It was all crackers and I can’t hardly taste any chuka wakame. The sauce is very regular, sourish and too sweet to me.

Yakitori Don RM12.80 to filled ourselves up. Served in a standard sized bento box, presentable, and the portion is huge too – share friendly. The only set backs was the teriyaki chicken seems to be a bit tough and dry (tasted like char siu).

Conclusion: salmon is still Sushi Tei’s strength, so their yu sheng is a must try. Green tea is RM2 per cup, refillable, and water is RM0.80. Bill came with additional gov and service taxes.

One of my favourite item to order at Japanese restaurants is the soft shell crab. So I was looking forward to this dish when I saw it. Good creativity but lose points on the taste.

This sushi is so pleasing to the eye. The sushi filling is avocado wrapped in seaweed and rolled with the sushi rice. The sushi rice is then coated with ebikko which is prawn roe. The avocado gave the sushi a nice creamy taste while the seaweed was crispy. Loved the prawn roe which is bits of exploding pieces as you chew the sushi. I could taste the fresh ingredients which is such an important element in making any dish a success.
