Hakka mee. This hakka mee is a new item offered by Sun huat Kee. The ingredients were almost the same as normal hakka mee, it was just that Sun Huat Kee added an extra ingredient: salted pickled vegetables. I find this combination slightly weird though, or maybe it was just me. The saltiness of the vegetables did not enhance the flavourn of the noodles. The noodles were slightly dry. continue reading

Now, Malaysians has created this new version of white coffee infused with our beloved king of fruits, Durian. It is a brave choice for anyone to order it. The curiosity of trying it was overwhelming and we ordered a cup to try. Before the drink was even put on our table, the smell of Durian has engulfed the whole place. Well, depends how you like durian. We find that durian white coffee tasted not bad. The durian aroma was strong and combined with the smooth tasty white coffee, it just bring coffee experience to another level. The coffee was sweet but addictive at the same time. However, you may need to rethink before ordering one because of the burping that follow closely. continue reading

The herbal tea in Sun Huat Kee is quite a big cup, but the price is RM2.00, which is neither expensive nor cheap. The herbal tea on that day is longan herbal tea. This drink has a strong taste of herbal tea, which overpowers the longan flavour. At the bottom of the ice was a few longans which still retains its flavour, especially when eaten. Unlike most other herbal teas, I find this one quite pleasant as the herbal flavour is strong and it is not watered down or diluted. continue reading
