For the meat, I grill it so that it can turn out heavier in saltiness but overall it is very flavourful when accompanied with some soup too.

I can smell the sukiyaki broth when I stand at the entrance, it was a really a nice sukiyaki smell ! I was tempted to try sukiyaki as I watched a Japanese show, S.M.A.P Special Episode with Lady GaGa. The way Lady GaGa described the taste made me drooling over it.

The best part of this restaurant is where you can choose all 3 main meats that were chicken, beef & lamb ! They sliced it up into tiny not-so-thin but just nice the size for you to put it into the broth. Therefore the meat is not so thick & you can order more & more if you feel you want to. They also serve wagyu beef but of course, you to have to fork more & more ringgit for it.

You can choose either sukiyaki, kimuchi, etc (I forgot what are the other broth) as for the choice of the broth. We choose 2 broth that are certainly sukiyaki & kimuchi in 1 pot (they used a separator pot). To those that is not a spicy goer, keep yourself to sukiyaki as I were sweating my head when I tried the kimuchi quite few times, plus with the heat from the pot.

All the lamb lover, you got to try the lamb ! I ate chicken mostly since one of our friend do not consume beef, lamb, so for us chicken taste was just normal. But at the end, we did eat the lamb. That was the best part of the night, lamb ! The lamb's smell was not strong, so you can enjoy it without holding your breath !

At the counter, there were varieties of vegetables, mushroom, seafood, balls-balls (what we call it in Malay is those kind of bebola), etc. You also can have ice cream from the ice-cream dispenser with a cone or cup, that were green tea & chocolate.

I will definitely try my best to come back again as the food, the service were worth with the ringgit's spent !

In my opinion, a crowd waiting outside a restaurant means only two things, it’s either the food is good or it’s a new establishment. I do like their concept of free flow meat which is served in trays. The meat is sliced thinly and you can opt for beef, lamb and chicken. Asahi is one of my favourite beers so far. Suki-Ya restaurant in Pavilion serves this beer too, which is very refreshing. It basically just makes your Japanese meal more 'japanese' with the Japanese beer. This beer taste a bit more sour than other beers, and what is great is that the foam of this beer tastes very malty. Other than the taste itself, the sight of view of this beer is also one indulgence. A great place to chill for a bit.

The ambience here at Sukiya is quite cosy with dimmed lights and comfortable seating. But it could get a little noisy when it’s packed. I liked its concept where we could have unlimited meat (you could choose from lamb, beef and chicken). I personally liked its thinly sliced beef where we swish it in boiling sweet broth for a few seconds and have it with raw egg, onions, radish and chilli. Even though its vegetables section seemed to be little but for me, it’s substantial as we don’t really eat

The sweet broth is delightful to have while the lamb and beef slices do not give out any gamy flavours at all.

In terms of variety, other similar steamboat restaurants have more. In terms of ambience, it is on average and looks packed due to limited dining space and dining tables that can accommodate up to 6 adults.

The picture shown is beef cakes, unlimited order. Other then that, they also served sliced beef, sliced chicken and sliced mutton. The taste of the beef cakes was right to my liking as it was depending on how much you wish the beef cakes in the soup to be cooked and go along with which type of soup. Like it for its thickness as well, as compared to the sliced beef which way to thin to taste the beef.

The restaurant is not very big but the layout allows good flow of diners. Diners has unlimited pick from a variety of vegetables and other non-meat items like fish balls, mushrooms, udon, cabbages, prawns, clams etc from a buffet table. There is a small selection of sushi as well but I find the sushi not very fresh. For the meat, the options are chicken, beef or lamb slices served in square boxes which you may order as much as you like.

There are 4 types of soup bases i.e. Kimchi, Miso, Soya and Clear. We had 2 stoves at our table and each pot has option for 2 soup bases so we tried all 4. My favourite is the Kimchi which was just nice and not too spicy for someone who doesn't take spicy food too well. The Miso was also nice especially when mixed with a lot of the ingredients. I find the meat slices fresh and thinly sliced which is good for steamboat.

For dessert, there is an ice-cream pump with 2 flavours, green tea and sesame which you can self-serve either via cup or cone. In addition, there are toppings like peanut, chocolate chips and cereal for you to choose from.

The price for each diner is RM29.80 ++ and includes free flow of green tea. Service was good and prompt and my only complaint is the buffet line could do with a bit more variety.

In the picture is showing chicken meat which sliced into very thin layer but again, I hardly could taste the chicken meat after dipping into the boiling soup.

Here is the lamb meat slice and chicken slice. They do served beef slice too. The lamb slice is too thin, lack of the gamey taste. And their dipping sauce is not that match with the meat. But the egg one is perfect to dip with the meat slice. The chicken slice is not that suitable, because chicken slice not that good to be eaten in thin slices.

As for the meats there were beef, mutton and chicken. I noticed that you could also get wagyu beef if you don’t mind paying a bit extra. The meat is cut into thin slices and you can just dip it into the hot soup for a few seconds depending on how long you want it to be cooked. Apart from free flow meat, there is also a variety of vegetables, mushrooms and fishcakes. There is also sushi which is constantly replenished.

Not forgetting is also the ice-cream machine. There were two different flavors one of which is chocolate and the other tasted like rice ice-cream. I love the variety of toppings they provide for customers to sweeten and decorate the ice-cream.
