The pork knuckle was the worst one I have ever had in my entire life. It was so dried as though you were chewing on cotton wools. Only a little bit of mashed potatos and is about the size of a coin. No krauts, only a few slices of veges. It does not worth the money for the foods you have in here.  continue reading

We went searching everywhere for a cafe with beautiful ambience and tasty food in One City Mall but all the shops were closed by the time we reached at past 10pm. Finally, we came to this place. Although there was no air cond, there was a cosy ambience inside and they still serve food though it was already 12 am at that time and special day of the year. We ordered the bestseller, German Bratswurst (RM 17) which the restaurant was famous for. The sausage was not oily and simply tasted amazing. The sauerkraut was also not bad. The roasted chicken RM 18.50) was too dry and not as nice as Kenny Rogers or Am Sande, according to my friend. The Pussy Fruit and Tropical Hurricane cocktails were also incredible where each has a special taste. The tropical hurricane was especially wonderul and came in a big glass. continue reading

Stadt’s menu is fairly extensive with variety of selections from pork, chicken, lamb, pasta, sausages and not forgetting beer, of course.I have to say the pork knuckle is good. The skin is crispy, yet the meat is juicy and tender on the inside, not overdone. The pork chop is not bad, either, and it is reasonably priced at about RM 22.90. You might want to give these a try if you haven’t. I did not take any photos on these but here are some from Stadt’s website. I went there again for dinner and I had no pork this time, but lamb boneless meat, which is braised lamb, just without bone. Again, the chief didn’t disappoint me this time, the braised lamb is tender, but it could be better if it was braised slightly longer. It still tastes a little gamy but I don’t mind at all as I like it. If you are considering to pay a visit to this bistro and not sure what you want to have, go for the pork. After all, that's why you would go to a German bistro, isn't it? continue reading

I was planning to eat at Uncle Jang at Puchong that day, but I reached there around 3.30pm, which is their break time, so I have to look for other food to eat nearby there. I searched around and finally found this restaurant. It's a inconspicuous shop rows shop. When I visited there, there were only 1-2 tables of customers consuming there.I ordered a Pork Chop RM22.90++. I waited for more than half an hour for the food to be served even though there were only a few numbers of customers at that time. The mashed potato tastes ok, but the sauce are too little. There are 2 pieces of pork cutlet served, 1 in thinner slice and another one thicker. The thinner slice is still not bad, the meat is still tasteful. However for the thicker slice, the texture of the meat is too rough and tasteless, not well marinated. The most disappointing thing is the side dish, broccoli. The vegetables are not fresh at all (as can be seen from the photos).I'm not sure how about the other food, but the weekdays lunch set is quite cheap. The environment is not bad, with dim light.I would actually not visit this restaurant again because the staff there are all showing long face. I always emphasize on the service of any restaurant. All food are subject to 10% service charge and 6% government tax. continue reading
