Spasso Milano is one of the many higher-end restaurant located on Level 6 Pavilion. We were just passing by and thought to give it a try as we both love Italian food. I opted for Spaghetti Bolognese and it looked pretty good. However I felt the bolognese sauce was lacking the depth of flavour. It was pretty one dimensional. The pasta was also slightly overcooked. Very disappointing. It's very unlikely we will return there again.

For RM36 for this serving, the pasta is hand made and it has seafood with hearty tomato paste. Fresh mussels, clams and squids. Spaghetti is well cooked and the tomato paste is blended well, tasty and the herbs give the zest to the dish. Environment is nice, with European style setting; grey and white concept, and a great place to fine dine. This is an Italian restaurant thus serves various pizzas and pastas.

Fileja, a doughy Calabrian delight _ handmade with durum wheat, topped with grilled pork belly & tossed in garlic, extra virgin olive oil, oregano & chili flakes. An "aglio olio" preparation, one of the most pleasing pastas we've had this year (OK, sure, it's only January).

Air-dried speck ham & smoked scamorza cheese pizza. You know how Domino's & Pizza Hut frequently promote new creations that they claim will be deliciously meaty or divinely cheesy? Spasso Milano's wood-fired wonder fulfills those descriptions.

Pork Valdostana _ escalopes topped with baked ham & fontina cheese. Warning: Spasso Milano isn't the place for healthy eating. Besides the obvious preponderance of pasta, pork & cheese, the sodium level in many of these recipes is more than perceptible.

Teething troubles are evident; the service team is often diligent but occasionally dazed, resulting in the erratic delivery of dishes. It'll get better, we're confident of that.

Last orders are at 10:30 pm daily. Brilliant!

The Tallegio cheese in the saltimbocca had us craving some more stinky sensations. Perhaps the best Italian place for fromageophiles is Bangsar Village's Garibaldi, which has some of the city's most thoughtfully constructed cheese platters.

A tasting combo of Garibaldi's cheeses. We can never remember what's what, but there's Robiola 3 Latti (baked one-month-aged cow, sheep & goat milk cheese), alongside other varieties flavored with truffles, garlic & pepper, some supposedly cultivated near European lakes.

Millie Foglie (RM16.80)

The pastry was crispy and the cream went well with that, as well as the ice cream. The only thing that I dislike of this dish was the orange pieces (or was it peach), this fruit was bitter and it spoilt the whole dessert.

Spasso Milano is located at Pavillion with wide space and comfortable seating. Grilled Lamb Chop (RM78)The lamb was quite raw in the inside albeit the burned part outside. The blood was flowing out when I am cutting the lamb. I do not prefer my lamb to be raw. The portion is just small for that pricing. I love the taste of the pasta though as well as the mushroom sauce dippings.

My friend and I went to Spasso Milano located in Pavilion, Bukit Bintang. We ordered the Tiramisu for dessert. The Tiramisu was in a bowl, and it was very tasty. You can taste the strong aromatic coffee and cheese. We really like the taste and would definitely order it again next time.

The braised lamb shank came in a very big serving, doused in Spasso Milano's special sauce. The meat was really tender that it came off the bone easily with a flick of my fork. Not a bad choice for lamb lovers.

Pan fried dory fillet was what my partner ordered, and I got to try a few bites too. The fish was really fresh, without much odour. Coming in a sweet sour sauce, fish lovers should go for this.

Just the name alone, ustralian Wagyu Rib Eye in aromatic Herbs Crust brings to mind some exotic meat. And it wasn't just exotic, it was way more delicious than I have expected. The wagyu meat wasn't just tender, with the herbs, it felt good just biting my teeth into the meat. Medium done please.
