Besides that, I have ordered their signature Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang and Coffee as well.

While waiting for the Nasi Lemak to be served, let me savour the Marble Cake while it is still hot. Wow, soft, fluffy, light buttery flavor and lightly sweeten. It is gives a taste of traditional flavour. Indeed yummy!

Here comes the Nasi Lemak, standard condiment such as hard boiled egg, peanut, anchovies, cucumber, sambal lastly Chicken Rendang. Upon serving, you can smell the rice was full of coconut aroma. Whereby Chicken Rendang features a rich, thick coconut gravy that gives meat a delightful texture and flavour. The best thing is I was given drumstick which tastes even better.

As for the coffee, they are using local ground coffee, dark and thick texture. Overall taste is average.

Whenever I 'm in Great Eastern Mall; I would regularly pay Shyet-Li's a visit :-) Yes, i love their kopitiam fare.. authentic but delicious local favorites ! Both curries are to die for - just the right balance of coconut milk and curry spices! Their fried Char Kuey Teow and Fried Mee (only available after 2pm) is also real nice.. really tasty without being too oily. I simply love this place
Though.. tables are pretty limited and positioned quite near to each other...

My first encounter with Shyet-Li is not a great one, i had tried their rice before...For reviews of food please check out my previous review on this restaurant. One thing i need to mention on is, in terms of services and cleaning, there isn't much changes. The standard did maintain there, which is good not many restaurant in Malaysia get to maintain their standard for a long time thoug

Overall the Yee mee taste normal to me, nothing much to shout about this dish. Wouldn't be my preferred choice to dine if i am nearby, however in terms of ingredient placed in the dish is quite okay, we have prawn and some gravy inside. I would suggest that this dish be given more soup, it might taste better this way...now the soup portion given is very less compared with the portion of mee served.

The kitchen is like a open bar concept, but they do not serve beer overhere but coffee, tea and some soft drinks. Though it is old day design but the service is not "old" very efficient, food serving speed is efficient and we do not have to wait long to get our food and drinks served. Today we ordered a dish named "Truly Malaysian" Makes me wonder how "Malaysian" this dish are.

The restaurant, same like this mall, quiet but clean. The concept of the restaurant is oldies design, remind me of restaurant that started during the 50's...this feeling is further portray in clock, menu, painting and other displays around the restaurant. Since the emergence of Old town white coffee i think the olden day design start being popular and commercialized heavily, now we almost see oldies concept restaurant everywhere in Malaysia, due to the fact that people now appreciate history

Now the "Truly Malaysian" dish, it is a chicken rice served with tomato sauce, papadam and ginger chicken rice. The chicken meat used here is very soft and smooth, making it very nice to chew in your mouth, but however the tomato sauce is not concentrated enough so the overall taste of the rice is just ginger with a little tomato taste....not so "Malaysian" But still rated it "Okay" as it is really not that bad, just improvement needed for the tomato sauce.

One of the bestseller at this kopitiam is their Nasi Lemak. I tried their Chicken Rendang Nasi Lemak and find it quite good. The rendang was not too spicy and the texture of the curry was just the right texture without being too thick. The chicken meat was tenderized and made it really easy to cut. The condiments were peanuts, ikan bilis, hard boiled egg and cucumber and these were fresh which complements the fragrant coconut milk flavoured rice. I would say that the flavours were not too s

As laksa goes, this one is a rich and full of flavours. It comes with firm beancurd, hard boiled egg and chicken. The version here does not come with cockles. It tasted good too not like some curries which just tasted spicy without any flavours. The ingredients were cooked to just the right consistency. Although not the best laksa I have tasted, it was a decent one which is worth a try.

This modern styled kopitiam has a small outlet in Great Eastern Mall. Tables are limited but service is fast. To quench my thirst, I tried their Ice Lemon juice. The drink came in a glass with spoon and straw. The lemon juice was refreshing with tangy hint and some bitterness from the pulp. The taste was balanced by a fair bit of sweetness which was just nice. I was really glad because the drink did not disappoint. Good for hot days.

The air sirap bandung is served with 3 clearly defined layers. The bottom was the red syrup followed by milk and next is the cincau and ended with ice topping. It was not too sweet which I really like.

Their Teh-C is local tea with evaporated milk added. This is my favourite as the combination of the ingredients were just the right texture and still retains the tea brew taste.

This restaurant serves local favourites like nasi lemak and curry laksa in a coffee shop setting. Their decor reminds me of the old chinese coffee shop given a facelift. The branch in Great Eastern Mall is not big and usually the tables are taken up fast during lunch hour on weekdays. Their roti jala served with curry is one of my favourites. The roti jala is served warm which retains its texture which can harden when cold. This taste good with their curry which has chicken and potato in it.

Their roti jala served with curry is one of my favourites. The roti jala is served warm which retains its texture which can harden when cold. This taste good with their curry which has chicken and potato in it. The curry is in a local style not too creamy or spicy. The serving is just nice - there are about 5 pieces of roti jala presented on a plated with banana leaf.

Good for those craving-for-curry days.
