you can expect the prices at coffee houses to be on the expensive sidethe service was rather slow which i find a bit weird because most people there are eating buffet and not ordering from the ala carte menubut to appease our long wait, the waiter brought us a basket of bread which was really delicious the curry laksa was huge with a lot of fresh ingredients.but there wasn't enough soup so half way through it became dry curry noodles

Serena Brasserie looks mighty spiffy following its refurbishment. Even if you're not a fan of buffets, the a la carte selection here is worth investigating. Pumpkin & basil soup. Creamy comfort food. Rillette of duck confit with tomato & caramelized onions. The meat was tender enough, while the recipe tasted

Rillette of duck confit with tomato & caramelized onions. The meat was tender enough, while the recipe tasted rather Chinese, like a homemade herbal stew.

Open ravioli of tiger prawns with asparagus veloute. Break the poached quail eggs for a geyser of sinful cholesterol that perfectly partners the saffron-tinged pasta.

B&B Empire (cognac, dom benedictine, orange juice, red wine) & Kir (creme de cassis, white wine). Full-bodied booze to keep our spirits up.

Consenting adults will nonetheless ask, why should we fork out RM198++ for this meal? The answer, my friend, is flowing in the wine ice bucket.

So here's how Sparkalite deserves its name: a free flow of Italian prosecco, Aussie brut and French bubbly ensures that spirits will stay sky-high from noon through 3pm.

With wine waiting in the wings, designated drivers must remain diligently on duty. Housekeeping notes: the buffet's RM120++ for teetotalers, RM60++ for children 6-12.

Beef, lamb and chicken, in their primal form and processed into sausages, alongside prawns, cod fish, slipper lobster and more. Protein-deficient patrons can nurse themselves back into the pinkest of health.

Eggs are served sunny-side-up here, partnered with turkey bacon and cheddar cheese to build an "Egg Buddy" that might be an albumin addict's best friend.

Or coddle your egg to create a palate-pampering mix with sausage and sun-dried tomatoes.
