I actually refrained from ordering a drink at first, as I felt that it was quite expensive. However, after consuming the dishes, I was feeling rather thirsty, hence decided to order a pandan water to share with wifey. A glass costs RM4.50, which I thought was a total rip-off. How much can it cost to boil some plain water, pandan leaves and sugar... One good thing was that the drink wasn't diluted as it was chilled beforehand. Pandan chicken is my usual staple in a Thai restaurant. I like to try different kinds of restaurants' pandan chicken as sometimes the spices they use vary, hence making it like I was consuming this dish the first time. The pandan chicken in Sawasde Thai Restaurant was a bit drier that I would have liked. The chicken was cooked all the way through, though I thought it was too overcooked. Every piece was also quite small. Priced at RM18 for 6 pieces, it was a decent price to pay.

The squid with dried chilli sounded a lot like the Chinese version of kung po squid, hence we decided to give it a try. The portion was quite big, definitely enough for two people. There were lots of squid, slices of carrots, green bell peppers, onions and dried chillies in it. The brown sauce was a bit wetter compared to kung po, but goes very well with white rice. Priced at RM18 a plate, it was well worth the money paid.

Not wanting everything to be spicy, although this is a Thai restaurant after all, we decided to go with the stir fried kailan with salted fish instead of vegetables with belacan. We were not sorry with the choice we made. The kailan was green and fresh, fried with lots of wok hei. The bits of salted fish accentuated the dish well, and give a burst of brackishness when we were consuming it. Priced at RM12 a plate, it was quite a good portion to share, well worth the amount paid.

Wifey was craving for some Thai food, so I decided to bring her to Regalia Business Centre over the weekend to stuff ourselves in Sawasde Thai Restaurant. According to some colleagues, the price here is decent and the environment quite nice. The first thing that came was seafood tom yam. We asked for the clear soup, as we weren't fan of the milky type. This is the thai fish cake.Thai fish cake is a really famous thai appetizer. So,why not we try it.Very nice i would say.The thai fish cake is so tender and juicy. It's not too dry and the fish cake is so fragrant. It totally different with the chinese fish cake.It a little bit spicy and the texture is totally different. It is much tender and tasty. The portion is quite huge and the fish cake size is very big too.You can dip it with the chilli sauce if you want to.

This is the Sawasde Thai at Subang Jaya. This sawasde Thai is a thai style restaurant that served authentic thai cuisine food. This is the Fried Spring Roll. This is nice! The spring roll itself is fluffy and very crispy. Youcan even heard the sound when you bitting it. The filling inside is tender and juicy. It taste even better if you dip it with their home chilli sauce. I really like this very much.As you can see, the portion is really big. It'senough for 3-4 person.

The spiciness can be adjusted according to your liking, just remember to put down your request upon ordering.

The clam is notably juicy as it was imported all the way from Phillipines.
It was literally fresh too!

The sourish kick in the palate can really increase your appetite! Me gusto! ;)
The Thai soup is also one of an authentic kind which cannot be found anywhere else...It was enriched with the aroma of 'belachan'( shrimp paste), lemongrass, asam and the bird's eye chili, sightly salty but..Me still gusto!
I drooled over my keypad when I reminisced about this...*wipe wipe*hehe..

Loads of coconut milk. Perfectly blended with all kinds of spices and herbs. This dish was pretty decent I would say. ;)

While on the look-out for some satisfying Thai dishes, I found this Sawasde Thai Restaurant in Subang Jaya looks inviting from its entrance. Look at the attap roof; It gives a really Thai feel there. Sawasde Special Fish @ RM40

This is one of the best-selling dish at Sawasde. The Ikan Siakap here is deep-fried before being immersed in Thai-styled soup. Made of blended belacan, dried chillies and lemongrass, the soupbase is a must-try even for non-spicy eaters! The fish is very fresh with flaky flesh. The best thing is that you can always request the kitchen for a milder or stronger taste, entirely up to your preference!

Steamed Lala in Thai Style @ RM25

The clams are freshly flown from Phillipines daily, and I'm glad to sample all the fresh ones without any mud taste. The soup is clear but rich in this seafood flavour, with a hint of sweetness behind the mild taste.
