Signature Dishes
This fish is apparently a signature dish in Indonesian nasi padang. This is freshly-fried, tastes quite fresh, and flesh is very flaky and succulent. Just beware of the bones! Tastes best dipped in their kicap manis.Pucuk paku masak lemak for the much-needed fibre, but nothing special about this dish.I can't resist the terung berlado - a bit oily, but very soft and flavourful, with fresh chilli paste (warning: quite spicy!).Tauhu telur is interesting! Basically, it's bean curds and eggs, amalgamated into a tower of yumminess. Drenched in kicap manis, this dish is eggy, sweet, and quite oily... but really a must-have!Quite affordable, I recall it being about 40 bucks or less for all this with rice for two people!
