I don't know why but I was strongly craving for some good comfort food. Actually I think I was just strongly craving for the super yummy food we can get at Sam's so we got dressed and drove all the way out to Damansara just to dine there. Thankfully it was rather empty on a weeknight or else we'd be waiting a while to get served and I was already starving by then.My immediate order was the mutton curry with a side of toast. I am pretty sure the last time we dined there they offered some naan or pita bread, but this time they said that there isn't such thing. Weird but that didn't stop me from dipping my hot toast into the super thick & flavourful curry, then happily eat the tender and succulent mutton pieces. Its so so sooooo good especially on a cool night. As always we have to order a serving of the grilled chicken leg. I've already raved about this in my previous review so I'm not going to talk too much about it. But this is absolutely positively delicious. Enough said. That night we got something new to try which is the grilled lemon sole and it was pretty amazing. The fish was nicely grilled with good seasoning and the side vegetables was AMAZING! Cause they were stir-fried with lots of garlic and butter so it was super flavourful. It's jsut awesome how the food at Sam's never disappoint. Plus the price is not too exurbent which means you won't have to worry about overspending and still receive good sized portions. continue reading

A cheerful addition to Bukit Damansara's cluster of suburban watering holes. Potentially where you'd wanna go where people know people are all the same, where everybody knows your name. *Cue wistful piano tinkling* For Cliff, the meat-lovin' mailman: one of the juiciest beef ribs around. So satisfying. For Norm, the perpetually ravenous house painter: BBQ lamb burger, featuring 150 grams of lean ground lamb spiced with garlic, onions, oregano & tomatoes. The patty could be more succulent, but this is still a nice change from the regular beef, chicken & pork burgers. For Diane, the waitress who wants to watch her weight: Nicoise salad. Obligatory, ordinary greens to reduce the guilt factor. Making your way through the world today takes all the booze you've got. For Woody, the cool-cat bartender: Grasshopper (vodka, green de mint, white de cacao, vanilla ice cream, syrup) & Frozen Black Irish (vodka, kahlua, bailey's, vanilla ice cream). For Carla, the other waitress, who needs something strong after a long night on her feet: Cosmopolitan & Downhill Racer (rum, amaretto, pineapple juice). continue reading
