This Japanese restaurant has been in business here for more than 10 years, owned by Japanese and also frequently patronized by Japanese customers who worked and stayed around Subang Jaya areas. All the dishes are well prepared and fresh, they are steamy hot and tasty, try that yourself and verify my judgement. It is possibly one of the best authentic Japanese restaurant that you can visit often whenever you wants to satisfy your appetite.

This place is brimming with Japanese and locals alike. Many Japanese frequent the Japanese restaurants in this areas that are opened and operated by Japanese.

Appetizer was mashed potato . I wonder why Japanese restaurants serve mashed potato as appetizer. Doesn't this make people too full to eat the next item? Luckily it is not too creamy like how others do this.

Sashimi Set (RM 42)

All the sashimi costs RM 80 and above so I didn't order those in order to save money. Luckily I found a cheaper version of Sashimi Set that even comes together with Japanese white rice, miso soup, a piece of watermelon and honeydew.

The butterfish, salmon, tuna and prawn sashimi are very fresh and seems to melt in my mouth!

Curry Nabe (RM 32)

I thought my this is just a normal claypot stir fried pork slices but it turned out to be curry soup with chicken, cabbage, bean sprouts and cherry tomatoes! This is very appetizing for dinner.

My first-time experience at Sakura Sakura today, 4th of July 2015, over lunch was completely ruined by a supervisor who treated my friend and I rather poorly. We both ordered the curry rice which is best described as very watery with few small miserable hunks of beef and chicken. The presentation is pathetic, completely unbefitting of the ambience and other dishes displayed by the other reviews here. It was not the type of Japanese curry rice served. Due to the poor treatment and attitude by the supervisor nonetheless, the sakuras in Japan will turn blue when I ever patronize this outlet again. IT would not havee been so  disappointing if it were not for the supervisor's treatment and demeanour. I would say, the food would have been bearable. I hope that Sakura Sakura managers looked into this and at best, teach this supervisor some MANNERS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Sakura Sakura is located nearby the shop lots next to Sime Darby Medical Centre. The Sashimi we ordered were very fresh. Delicious! They offered lots of bento sets in their menu. Both bento set were good and were very full after having dinner here.

Mashed potato salad with sliced pork. Not as comfort foodish as we had expected. The potatoes could have been creamier and the pork less bland. Omelet with mentaiko & cheese. The pollock roe left little impression. Tasted like an ordinary omelet _ not necessarily a bad thing though. Tofu prepared Hakata-style (we assume this refers to Hakata in Fukuoka). A wholesome broth. It's mostly fuss-free cooking at this outlet. Inaniwa udon. Not as pleasurably slippery as usual. Strangely sticky, in fact

Yellowtail jaw. Good but not great; you'll find fresher, more succulent versions elsewhere, including Xenri and Kampachi (though those places charge more).

Fish sausage. Had the texture of chicken sausage, but tasted less flavorsome.

Simple, honest Japanese fare is the highlight of this rather cramped outlet, which claustrophobic customers might want to avoid. Salmon mayo maki. Really dainty pieces, easily gulped down in less than one mouthful. Might have liked it more if they used sashimi instead of cooked salmon. Grilled squid with garlic. Served sizzling, perfect for a rainy evening. Thankfully, it wasn't as chewy as squid tends to be. Prawn & quail eggs wrapped with bacon. Juicy stuff, impeccably prepared; we could have

Ebi namaharumaki. Can't really fault this, since it was generously stuffed with plump prawns and crunchy veggies, but it was forgettable.

Steamed chawanmushi is simply taste smooth and delicious too.

Had an happy and delicious dinner here. Further I feel the price is reasonable as the bento set is really huge with all the combination.
Something to sound is that they had not enough workers. As we are seated upstairs in kind of a private room, we are hardly to find the waitress unless they appear to us.

Besides, the ala-carte dishes, there are more than 20 types of sets & bentos too. Unagi Kaba Yaki Bento @ RM35.00The bento set is huge that comes with a cutlets of unagi, a bowl of garlic rice, 3 big cubes of fresh salmon served on crushed ice, platter of tempura set (with prawn, ladies fingers, sweet potato & eggplant), miso soup, chawanmushi, and vege salad. I am so glad they make these combination that i can try all the food and need not have to order each of them separately. This is basicall

This is basically a full set of Japanese food that one will enjoy in a Japanese Restaurant. No doubt about it, everything just taste above average.
