A colleague highly recommended this place on a Friday lunch one day. We were warned that it would take a much longer time if we were to come to this place for lunch. When we arrived, the place was jam packed with hungry people. We had to wait for quite some time to get a seat which fits all 8 of us. The moment we arrived, we were given a number and was told to wait for our turn. Once our number is up, the waitress would automatically get our orders. The pan mee stall here only serves big or small
When we arrived, the place was jam packed with hungry people. We had to wait for quite some time to get a seat which fits all 8 of us. The moment we arrived, we were given a number and was told to wait for our turn. Once our number is up, the waitress would automatically get our orders. The pan mee stall here only serves big or small, dry or souped version with only hand pinched pan mee, nothing fancy like chilli pan mee or such.
One thing I noticed is that the cooks literally just used their hands to toss the dough straight into the boiling hot water, and many times they were splashed with the water, but they somehow do not have any reaction to the pain. Amazing.
After waiting like for 20 minutes or so, our pan mee arrived piping hot. The pan mee here is very smooth. As the pan mee is the pinched version, there are slightly thicker or thinner parts of the dough. Surprisingly, the pan mee was so well cooked, even the thickest ones are cooked on the inside. The pan mee here is very smooth and easy to eat, if its not for the heat. Also, the chilli is very spicy but it complements the pan mee very much.
The soup is also very flavourful and nice with the anchovies and vegetables in it.
FOr RM5.00 (big) and RM4.50 (small), this dish is definitely very worth it, if you don't mind the wait.
